Dave vs. Goliath. We’re Dave.

Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. It is redefining the financial landscape by leveraging technology to create an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans. As a leading innovator in the U.S. financial services sector, Dave’s digital financial platform offers products designed to meet the credit needs of those underserved by traditional financial institutions. Dave’s offerings include its flagship ExtraCash product, providing members up to $500 within minutes. The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option.

Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

Every credit decision Dave makes starts with data. It includes how much a member earns, when they get paid, and how they spend and repay. Our Financial Data Intelligence team builds and runs the financial data layer behind underwriting, collections, and the member experience across ExtraCash, Flex card, and the credit products we launch next. As our Senior Product Manager, Financial Data Intelligence, you'll own the strategy and roadmap for that platform. You'll turn raw bank transactions, account aggregation, and third-party data into trusted signals that help us say yes to more members and get those decisions right. You'll report to our Director of Product Management and work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Growth/Marketing, and Compliance.

What you’ll build and own
  • Own the platform roadmap: Define and drive a multi-quarter roadmap for the financial data platform. That covers vendor integration, ingestion, normalization, storage, and access for downstream use cases.

  • Unlock smarter decisions: Partner with Data Science and Engineering to build data products and signals, such as income detection, cash-flow features, and repayment indicators, that improve underwriting and repayment prediction.

  • Expand our data advantage: Lead discovery and evaluation of new financial data sources, APIs, and partnerships beyond core bank data. Take the best of them from pilot to production.

  • Manage key partners: Own relationships with data aggregators and third-party data providers, balancing coverage, cost, and performance.

  • Raise the bar on data quality: Set standards and monitoring for data accuracy, coverage, latency, and compliance, so every team that relies on this data can trust it.

  • Own the numbers: Define and report on platform KPIs, and tie data improvements directly to business outcomes like approval rates, loss rates, and member retention.

  • Shape what's next: Drive opportunities where financial data can unlock new credit products, features, and member experiences.

The impact

The data you deliver sits underneath every credit decision Dave makes. Better, faster, more reliable financial data means more members get access to money when they need it, and Dave makes smarter decisions with less risk. Your work will directly shape how Dave scales credit access to millions of Americans.

What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in fintech, lending, or financial data products.

  • Strong understanding of financial data systems, such as transaction data, account aggregation, credit bureau data, or payments infrastructure.

  • A proven track record of building data platforms, APIs, or decisioning systems in a regulated environment.

  • Experience managing external vendors and data partners, from evaluation and contracting input through integration and ongoing performance management.

  • Strong analytical skills. You're comfortable using SQL and BI tools such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau to inform decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and risk requirements into clear product specs and bring Engineering, Data Science, and business teams along with you.

  • A strong sense of urgency. You act like a business owner and move quickly to test, validate, and ship without cutting corners on data quality.

  • Proven ability to use AI tools to speed up data analysis, product discovery, and execution.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-have
  • Experience with cash advance, credit, or lending products.

  • Knowledge of underwriting, repayment prediction, or risk modeling.

  • Familiarity with Plaid, MX, Finicity, or similar data aggregation platforms.

  • Hands-on familiarity with data pipelines, data modeling, or ML feature engineering.

  • Experience running A/B tests or champion/challenger experiments to measure the impact of new data or model changes.

What to expect

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving credit environment, where you will set direction, make trade-offs, and turn complex financial data into products teams can rely on. Priorities will evolve as Dave learns from data, members, and new product opportunities, so success requires comfort with ambiguity and a practical, metrics-driven approach to deciding what to build next.

Why join Dave
  • Connect your work directly to Dave’s mission of expanding access to affordable financial products for people living paycheck to paycheck.

  • Own a platform roadmap with broad influence across underwriting, collections, member experience, ExtraCash, Flex card, and future credit products.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Growth/Marketing, and Compliance to move from data insight to measurable member and business outcomes.

  • Solve meaningful challenges at the intersection of data quality, responsible credit access, risk, and product innovation.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
