About the Role:

As the Senior Product Manager, Security and Data, you will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for foundational capabilities that strengthen product security, improve data quality and access, and increase customer trust across Motive’s platform. You will work at the intersection of customer needs, platform investment, and business priorities to deliver capabilities that enable teams across the company to build safer, smarter, and more scalable products.

This is a high-impact role for a product leader who is equally comfortable shaping long-term direction and driving cross-functional execution. You will report into a Director of Product. The right candidate brings strong product judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to build alignment across engineering, design, data, security, and go-to-market stakeholders around complex, high-leverage initiatives.
This is a Hybrid role based in SF.

What You’ll Do:
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for security and data capabilities that improve platform resilience, trust, and scalability.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer, internal stakeholder, and business needs to identify high-impact opportunities across security, governance, access, and data usability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, security, legal, and go-to-market teams to translate priorities into clear product requirements and successful launches.
  • Drive complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, making thoughtful tradeoffs across customer value, technical constraints, operational readiness, and long-term platform health.
  • Act as a subject matter leader for your product area by aligning stakeholders, informing decision-making, and measuring outcomes to continuously improve product performance.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of technical or platform-oriented products.
  • Strong experience working on security, data, infrastructure, platform, privacy, governance, or other highly technical product domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy, prioritize effectively, and execute across multiple complex initiatives with cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use qualitative insights and quantitative data to make sound product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and consensus across teams and levels of the organization.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
