The Community You Will Join: 

Airbnb’s Host Services team is developing new business lines designed to improve listing quality and unlock new value for Hosts. To support this work, we’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to partner closely with the program lead. This individual will help shape early strategy, build compelling business cases, and ensure seamless execution as initiatives grow. 

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Senior Programs and Business Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the global expansion of Airbnb's Host Services business lines. Specifically your focus area will be to act as business owner of our Referrals product and business strategy. Referrals power the growth of our stays, experiences and services businesses. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies that align cross-functional teams, enabling rapid growth Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be crucial to your success in this role.

A Typical Day: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that drive growth across various regions. Navigate and address regional and category-specific challenges and opportunities. Lead recurring performance meetings across leadership and functional teams to deliver results.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, finance, marketing, sales operations, and supply, to achieve shared objectives that deliver meaningful business results. 
  • Global Expansion: Lead cross-border projects to accelerate the global expansion of the Host Service business lines, ensuring alignment with global team goals and Airbnb’s long-term goals. Architect regular competitive evaluations across global markets to ensure optimal supply and demand levers are being met.
  • Operational Excellence: Leverage your analytical skills to translate data-driven insights into actionable operational plans that enhance performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Provide valuable guidance and support to help Host Service Lines thrive within the Airbnb marketplace.
  • Innovation & Growth: Own and influence the business outcomes of this high-growth area, strategically planning for the next phases of expansion.
  • Pricing: Analyze and deliver competitive pricing and payout models across global markets.

Your Expertise:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience leading high-growth businesses. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to align cross-functional teams, build new ventures from the ground up, and drive growth through strategies such as scaling referrals and other acquisition levers.
  • Analytical & Strategic Skills: Strong analytical abilities combined with a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics. Ability to distill complex information into clear business strategies.
  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Expertise in driving collaboration across diverse teams, fostering transparency, accountability, and a unified vision.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to execute complex programs. A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and new product development.
  • Business Operations: Proven experience in leading strategic and tactical execution within a large organization, with the ability to advise management on complex projects or issues.
  • Process Improvement: Capable of self-learning and developing tools to enhance processes, interpreting business risks, and recommending best practices.
  • Community Engagement: Strong enthusiasm for working closely with the Airbnb community, consistently demonstrating Airbnb’s core values and fostering a sense of belonging.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
