Job Description:
Develop test cases based on feature design requirements and code changes; Work on an Agile team collaborating closely with Development; lead test efforts for major releases or within Agile sprints; Mentor team members and junior engineers; design and develop object oriented automation frameworks; Automate test cases using Python or similar object oriented scripting language; Bring industry best practices into the team and our projects; Provide strategic vision for automation and testing; Investigate and analyze root causes of technical issues and document found software defects; Verify and validate using white-box, black-box, and performance testing techniques; manage test lab environment and apply networking expertise; Produce testing time estimates for assigned features; and track and report testing status. Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or Telecommunications Engineering. Alternatively, will accept bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Position also requires any prior academic or professional experience with the following: white box, black box, functional, and performance testing methodologies; programming in C, C++, Java, or Python; object-oriented programming concepts; Linux; and debugging and troubleshooting.

Compensation:
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,797-$218,600/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
