Senior Fullstack Software Engineer - Ecommerce

This role addresses technical complexities within a high-scale Ecommerce platform where performance optimization and component stability are critical. The position resolves engineering challenges related to GraphQL over-fetching, database bottlenecks, cache management, and transitioning legacy components into event-driven services. The engineer applies technical analysis, automated workflows, and AI tooling to mitigate technical debt and ensure reliable feature delivery within the ecommerce subsystem.

• Design and implement serverless microservices to transition monolithic components using modern PHP patterns and Node.js to achieve decoupling targets.

• Optimize database queries, schema configurations, and cache invalidation strategies to resolve subsystem bottlenecks and meet team uptime OKRs.

• Develop decoupled integration points across AEM and Commerce services to maintain separation between backend business logic and presentation layers.

• Apply generative AI coding assistants and automation tooling to code refactoring, test suite generation, and development workflows to lower maintenance overhead.

• Implement telemetry monitoring configurations, automated CI/CD pipeline validations, and load testing routines to maintain subsystem reliability in production.

• Provide technical mentorship to team members and coordinate code reviews with offshore development partners under established engineering standards.

• Technical depth in Object-Oriented Programming, modern PHP patterns, and serverless Node.js development within platforms such as Adobe App Builder or AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency in GraphQL schema design, backend resolver optimization, and REST API development for low-latency data retrieval.
• Competence across cloud development workflows, Docker containerization, and enterprise Git branching methodologies.
• Capability in applying generative AI tooling toward code refactoring, automated test generation, and engineering workflow optimization.
• Diagnostic ability to identify root causes of high-latency transactions, database deadlocks, and resource contention within application subsystems.

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce (Magento 2.x) in headless, hybrid, or API Mesh environments.
• Working knowledge of message brokers and caching layers, including RabbitMQ, Redis, and OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
• Integration experience with enterprise third-party services, including Ping Identity, Recurly, and Vertex.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience in PHP and Node.js software application development

• Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with:

  • JavaScript and Node.js

  • PHP 8.x (specifically 8.2 or 8.3)

  • MySQL/SQL optimization and schema design
