The role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Loans Platform team who will help build a cutting edge technology platform to automate our loan process.
On our team, you will be in the middle of it all – implementing new functionality, architecting our system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring and supporting mission critical systems. You’ll face and solve a wide range of challenges: technical, product, and operational, shaping your personal growth and career along the way, as well as helping mold and grow the junior members of the team.
A loans platform is instrumental in 10xing the company, and you have the opportunity to help shape and guide that future and exponentially grow the customer base of this product.
What you’ll do:
- Architecting, designing, and delivering scalable, highly available services
- Owning and ideating on technical solutions for product requirements and user stories
- Participating heavily in code and design reviews
- Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Becoming domain experts on the Lending business
- Collaborating and representing engineering with outside stakeholders in product marketing, operations, business, legal, and compliance
- Working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment across multiple offices
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
- 5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
- Our core stack is React / Java / Spring / PostgreSQL. Expertise with any modern JavaScript frameworks, REST APIs and relational databases is a great start.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; driving a project from inception to completion
- Affinity for solving problems and diving deep into the details
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
Nice to have:
- Experience with Typescript, Kotlin, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Webpack, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
- A passion for well-tested code and utilizing testing frameworks

The office is located in Pike Tower, just five blocks from Pike Place Market, and houses some of our Engineering, Design, and Product teams - including engineers, product managers, and other technical functions.
