Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We’re searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join Aurora’s Cloud team. The Cloud team is responsible for building and maintaining Aurora’s cloud infrastructure and development platform.

In this role, you will

  • Build developer-facing tooling and infrastructure that creates developer happiness and improves development velocity
  • Build self-service observability tools and services that enable developers to debug and support web services
  • Work with teams across the company to gather requirements, gather support and drive projects forward

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience shipping commercial products and services, preferably in Go.
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
  • Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes
  • Experience writing production code in one of three languages: Go, Python, C++

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
  • Managed ingress solutions (Ambassador, Envoy, Istio, etc)
  • Experience with observability platforms and tools (Grafana, Distributed Tracing, etc)
  • AV industry experience

The base range for this position is $146,000 - $210,000.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
