About the Role:
Remitly Access is building the foundational platform that exposes the core capabilities of our remittance infrastructure, promoting seamless, scalable integrations with global partners. As a Senior Engineer (SrSDE) on the Access team, you'll help shape and scale the APIs, SDKs, and systems that power onboarding, authentication, and transaction lifecycle experiences - delivering secure, reliable, and developer-friendly solutions. You'll contribute to the creation of our partner portal, which provides developers and partners with self-serve access to integration tools, operational insights, and support resources. You'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to simplify complexity, reduce technical debt, and ensure faster delivery of high-impact features across platforms.

You Will:

  • Solve technical challenges with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and difficult problems involving multiple technologies (TypeScript, React Native, Java/Kotlin, Go) and systems.

  • Guide the team's technical strategy while leading, shipping, and operating full-stack features and systems.

  • Drive engineering excellence by delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions, improving team processes, and contributing to cross-team technical designs.

  • Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires.

  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.

  • Report to the Engineering Manager of the Remitly Access team

You Have:

  • Strong computer science, web, and native app fundamentals, and knowledge of design patterns.

  • 5+ years of software development experience.

  • Expertise in one of the following programming languages: Kotlin, Java, Go.

  • Excellent collaboration skills.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000.00-$225,000.00. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
