About the Role

Veeam is hiring a Senior Solution Architect, GSI to drive technical strategy, complex solution design, and partner enablement with our Global System Integrator (GSI) partners. Reporting to our Global Technical Director, you will work across pre-sales, solution development, and delivery alignment to help GSIs build repeatable service offerings and customer architectures around data resilience, cyber recovery, and hybrid/multi-cloud protection.

This role is equal parts architect, technical advisor, and field leader. You will influence partner technical roadmaps, shape reference architectures, and guide GSIs through customer engagements from early design through validation and handover.

What You’ll Do

GSI Technical Leadership and Enablement

  • Serve as a senior technical authority for GSIs, translating Veeam capabilities into partner-deliverable architectures and services.
  • Lead advanced enablement: workshops, architecture reviews, deep dives, and hands-on technical sessions for GSI architects and delivery teams.
  • Build repeatable partner assets: reference architectures, implementation patterns, and “how we deliver” guidance.

Solution Architecture and Customer Engagement

  • Co-lead complex customer engagements with GSI teams: discovery, requirements mapping, target architecture, and design validation.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and solution narratives across regulated and large-enterprise accounts.
  • Design solutions spanning on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud, including platform security, operational models, and recovery readiness.

Cyber Resilience and Secure-by-Design Outcomes

  • Embed security best practices into designs: separation of duties, least privilege, immutability, hardened repositories, secure operational workflows, and recovery assurance.
  • Partner with security stakeholders (CISO org, IR teams) to align resilience architecture with cyber recovery expectations and operating models.

Partner Strategy and Field Alignment

  • Align joint architectures to GSI go-to-market priorities and delivery realities (practice towers, toolchains, managed services).
  • Act as the technical bridge between GSI leadership, Veeam product teams, and regional sales/SE teams.
  • Provide structured feedback loops to improve product fit, partner readiness, and field execution.

Thought Leadership

  • Represent Veeam with GSIs at industry events, executive briefings, and webinars with a strong point of view on resilience and cyber recovery.

What You’ll Bring (Required)

  • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, data protection, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, or platform architecture.
  • Proven experience working inside a GSI or leading technical engagements with GSIs (pre-sales and delivery alignment).
  • Strong architecture skills across hybrid environments: virtualization, storage, networking, identity, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes across large, matrixed partner organizations.
  • Executive-level communication skills: can whiteboard with architects and present clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience designing and validating enterprise-scale solutions (not just slideware).
  • Experience working with one or more GSIs (examples: Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, DXC, Atos, Kyndryl).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestic and international

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with DSPM concepts (data discovery/classification, exposure risk, posture reporting) and data access governance (entitlements, access risk, policy controls)
  • Experience with security ecosystems (IAM/PAM, SIEM/SOAR, DLP, CNAPP/CSPM) and engaging CISO/IR stakeholders
  • Automation/integration experience (REST APIs, PowerShell, IaC concepts)
  • Veeam certifications (VMCE/VMSP) preferred but not required; Hyperscaler certs are a plus

What you'll get

  • Unlimited paid time off, 12 paid holidays including 4 global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares
  • Paid parental leave: 8 weeks for all parents, 16 weeks for birthing parents
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on your first day
  • Mental health support, therapy sessions, and digital wellness tools via our Employee Assistance Program
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions
  • Fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support through Maven, plus paid volunteer time
  • AirVet: 24/7 virtual veterinary care at no cost
  • Legal services, identity protection, and supplemental health insurance options
  • Tax-advantaged spending accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning

  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
