Prepare complex individual and business tax returns, perform tax research, respond to tax notices, prepare payroll and state/local returns, review staff work, support tax planning, bookkeeping, and client relationships while meeting deadlines.
An
ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with business and
individual tax preparation, strong communication and analytical skills, enjoy
working in a team setting, the ability to consistently meet deadlines, and
takes ownership and accountability in assignments. Experience with QuickBooks
and LaCerte a plus.
Position
requirements:
- At least 2 years
relevant tax experience in public accounting
- Able to work in
the US without sponsorship
- Able to work in our
office for the first week for onboarding and training
- Able to work in
our office at least 1 day per week thereafter
Primary
responsibilities include:
- Preparation of
complex individual income tax and business income tax returns
- Propose solutions
to managers regarding client questions, outstanding tax issues, or
internal matters
- Prepare and
complete tax research projects
- Prepare client
bookkeeping
- Prepare federal
and state payroll returns
- Prepare state and
local excise and personal property returns
- Prepare IRS and
state taxing authority letter and notice responses
- Review work of
staff below senior level
- Assist with
year-end and general tax planning services
- Assist in
fostering client relationships
- Other tasks as
needed
