Serve as the senior technical advisor for a federal supply chain and logistics program. Advise delivery teams and government stakeholders on technical strategy, architecture, security, delivery trade-offs, and design decisions. Resolve cross-team technical disputes, translate customer needs into feasible solutions, strengthen technical judgment, and advise on Risk Management Framework activities, authorization documentation, remediation, SAFe delivery, cloud migration, accessibility, and emerging AI/ML governance.

We are hiring a Principal Technical Advisor to be the senior technical voice on a supply chain and logistics program for a federal health customer. You will advise delivery teams and customer stakeholders on the hard calls, resolve the technical disputes that stall work, and carry credibility in rooms where the decision gets made. This is an advisory seat, not a management track. This position is fully remote within the United States.
What you will do...
- Advise delivery teams and customer stakeholders on technical strategy and the trade-offs behind it.
- Resolve escalated technical questions that cross team boundaries.
- Review designs and plans before they are committed to, and say what will not work.
- Translate between what the customer is asking for and what the technology can deliver.
- Build the technical judgment of the people around you.
Minimum qualifications...
- Master's degree and 18+ years of technical experience in enterprise or federal IT.
- Demonstrated advisory role on programs where your recommendations changed the outcome.
- Depth in at least two of: systems architecture, data, security, or delivery engineering.
- Experience working directly with government stakeholders at a decision-making level.
- Track record of resolving technical disputes across teams you do not manage.
- Advising on security accreditation, including Risk Management Framework activities and the documentation and remediation an authorization depends on.
- Serving in a technical lead role within SAFe, across disciplines such as architecture, security or test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).
Preferred qualifications...
- Experience on federal health IT programs.
- Supply chain, logistics or asset management domain depth.
- Experience advising on Section 508 accessibility and Human Centered Design in product delivery.
- Enterprise architecture framework experience (TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF).
- Experience advising on cloud migration of legacy federal systems.
- Experience advising on adoption of AI/ML capabilities under federal AI governance.
- Familiarity with federal IT governance and approved-tooling processes.
