We are seeking a high-impact Senior Vice President to lead the growth of our Qualitative and Online Communities practices within the Media and Technology sector. This is a strategic leadership role designed for a "game changer" who thrives in a fast-paced, unscripted environment.

You will be working with a talented team of researchers and client service specialists, focusing on building long-term, sustainable partnerships with some of the world’s largest and most innovative tech giants. Your mission is to open new doors, navigate complex matrixed organizations, and deliver bespoke research solutions that answer our clients' most pressing business questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Commercial Growth: Take ownership of the business, driving both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability through aggressive business development and client retention strategies.
  • Strategic Client Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior-level stakeholders, translating complex business challenges into innovative qualitative and community-based research designs.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse, remote team of seasoned researchers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and agility.
  • "One Ipsos" Collaboration: Work across Ipsos service lines and the Client Organization to optimize offerings and ensure a unified, differentiated approach to large enterprise accounts.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain "expert" level knowledge of the Media and Tech landscape, including emerging trends in AI, digital advertising, and consumer engagement.
  • External Impact: Act as an active voice in the market and on social media to build "Ipsos Fame" and showcase our innovative qualitative and panel capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Industry Expertise: 12 plus years of experience in market research or the tech industry, with a deep understanding of the Media and Tech sector.
  • Proven Sales Record: A consistent track record of success in supplier-side business development, specifically within consumer insights, analytics, or data services.
  • Network & Influence: An already-built network of industry contacts and the ability to leverage those relationships to create new buying centers.
  • Research Fluency: Strong working knowledge of qualitative research principles and online community/panel methodologies.
  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional presentation and "storytelling" skills, with the gravitas to command a room and simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to track sales pipelines and manage multi-faceted project workloads.
  • Travel: Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 30% to meet with clients and conduct research.

If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply. We may consider a variety of backgrounds for a particular role and are also committed to considering candidates for available positions throughout our organization, not just the one you’re applying to!

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.

At Ipsos you’ll experience opportunities for Career Development, an exceptional benefits package (including generous PTO, healthcare plans, wellness benefits), a flexible workplace policy, and a strong collaborative culture.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
