Loot Labs is on a mission to make collecting fun. We believe that every collectible tells a story: of passion, nostalgia, and discovery.
Through our flagship product, Boxed.gg we are reimagining how the world collects by blending digital entertainment with tangible rewards, delivering nostalgia and discovery straight to the fans' doorsteps.
We are...

  • Community First: We've served 1M collectors and foster an active community of over 145k+ Discord members.

  • Ambitiously Led: Led by veterans from Microsoft, Twitch, 2K, and Boeing.

  • Remote-First: We value high autonomy, low ego, and trust our team to build from anywhere in the world.

Since our inception in 2023, we’ve seen significant year-over-year growth. And now we're gearing up for our most ambitious year yet, with major expansions planned across product offerings, strategic partnerships, and next-generation collector experiences. If you’re ready to build products that spark joy at a global scale, you’re in the right place.

Role Description

Reporting to the Content Lead, the Social Media Manager owns Boxed's social channels and turns attention from collectors into new users. Your job is to make Boxed the account the hobby actually follows: fast, native to collector culture, on-trend, and unmistakably ours.

Reach matters, but it isn't the scoreboard. Social is an acquisition channel for us, and your work should show up in signups, app installs, and first purchases. You'll write, shoot, edit, and post yourself, and build the systems, partners, and creator sources that let output scale beyond what one person can make.

In your first year, success means social is a measurable acquisition channel: signups, installs, and first purchases attributed to owned social every month and growing quarter over quarter, a real hobby audience across both TCG and sports, and a steady pipeline of proven formats feeding paid creative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Channel Strategy - Own day-to-day strategy, publishing, and performance across TikTok, YouTube (including Shorts), Instagram, X, and Reddit, with a distinct playbook for each.

  • Trend Spotting - Catch trends, sounds, memes, and hobby moments early, and get on-brand content live the same day while they're still rising.

  • Content Creation - Write, shoot, and edit native short-form content, and develop recurring series such as pack openings, pull reactions, hobby explainers, and community spotlights.

  • User Acquisition - Drive signups, app installs, first purchases, and referral activity from social, and test calls to action and conversion paths from content to product.

  • Measurement - Work with Growth and Analytics on attribution (UTMs, link-in-bio, promo codes, app deep links) and report acquisition by channel, not just reach.

  • Sports Audience - Grow the sports card audience with the same intent as TCG.

  • Team Collaboration - Partner with Influencer, Field, and Community teams to amplify creator content, turn cons and nationals into a month of posts, and promote the referral program and Discord.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years running social for a consumer brand, app, or media company, with a track record of growing an audience and tying it to signups, installs, or revenue.

  • Editorial / Content Background: Experience as a creator, editor, writer, or producer at a media brand, publisher, or creator-led company. You can write a hook and tell a story in 15 seconds.

  • Collectibles Knowledge: Working fluency in trading cards and collectibles, whether TCG (Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Lorcana) or sports cards. You know what a chase card is, why grading matters, and what makes a pull go viral.

  • Trend Awareness: You live on TikTok, YouTube, X, and Reddit, and know how to adapt a trend so it feels native to the brand rather than forced.

  • Technical Skills: Comfortable shooting on a phone and editing in CapCut, Premiere, or similar, and fluent in native platform analytics.

  • Communication Skills: Sharp writing and a consistent brand voice across every post.

Preferred Skills
  • Active Collector: You collect, break, or grade cards yourself and know the hobby's creators and communities.

  • Creator Experience: You've built a following of your own on any platform.

  • Paid Social Exposure: Experience feeding organic content into paid teams or working with UGC creators.

  • App Growth: Experience driving installs for a mobile app.

  • Speed and Volume: You ship a lot, learn fast, and keep quality high while doing it.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with shifting priorities.

Company benefits:
  • 15 days of accrued PTO

  • 7 days of sick-leave, front-loaded at the start of the year

  • 10 paid company holidays

  • Generous vision, dental, and health benefits, with 97% contribution to premium

  • 401k Matching

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
