We are seeking a passionate problem solver to work as a Software Engineer in Performance and Tools team to: 

  • Enhance and maintain in-house synthetic data generation tools 
  • Investigate performance issues in enterprise applications 
  • Develop, maintain and optimize performance scripts and test framework 
  • Validate and improve the scalability, reliability of enterprise applications and cloud-native systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support quality and development teams with the test data generation requirements. 
  • Learn in-house test data generation tool and enhance its capabilities. 
  • Develop solutions with an AI-centric approach. 
  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scenarios. 
  • Troubleshooting performance issues by analyzing application, infrastructure, and database bottlenecks. 
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and SRE teams to resolve performance issues. 
  • Integrate AI/ML techniques into performance testing. 
  • Integrate observability tools in performance analysis and related processes 
  • Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), Volume, and Scalability testing. 
  • Create performance reports, reporting frameworks and provide optimization recommendations. 

Required Skills  

Programming & Databases  

  • Previous working experience with Python for backend for application development.  

  • Basic experience with JavaScript for frontend web-development.  

  • Previous  working experience with SQL and DB design principles and other database technologies.  

  • Previous working experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries and analyze database performance.  

  • Previous working experience working with AI tools like Claude, Copilot, and produce quality solutions.  

  

Performance Testing  

  • Previous working experience with Performance Engineering concepts.  

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, Locust, NeoLoad, or BlazeMeter.  

 

Observability & Monitoring  

  • Experience with one or more of the following application monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch, and Google Cloud Monitoring.  

  • Previous working experience with the following -  analyze logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts for root cause analysis.  

 

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.  

  • 3 - 8 years of experience in Software Development and Performance Testing/Performance Engineering.  

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.  


Preferred Skills 

Good knowledge of Java to troubleshoot performance issues. 

Postgres SQL 

Knowledge of Ruby/Rails  


Cloud & DevOps  

Good knowledge of AWS and GCP.  

Good understanding of Git repositories and GitLab Pipelines.  

Experience working with CI/CD environments.  

Knowledge of APIs, Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.  

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

**The annual US base salary range for this position is $123,000 to $132,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
