Senior Solutions Consultant

The Senior Solutions Consultant will help translate complex customer business requirements into viable business solutions. Their ability to deconstruct customer challenges into discrete, logical components will be paramount. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, an expert at juggling multiple competing projects and priorities on fast-paced timelines and is able to deliver unparalleled customer success.
The Senior Solutions Consultant will be part of our Planning department’s Professional Services team, which focuses on assisting our customers in successfully leveraging our Capital Planning software solutions and their data to enhance their capital planning processes in support of their organization’s mission and goals.
Gordian’s Capital Planning software helps facilities professionals objectively model multi-year capital plans that optimize and align investments with their mission. By centralizing asset and facility information, this cloud-based software provides the forecasting tools managers need to efficiently gather and maintain facility condition data on buildings and other real property assets, and then leverage that data to optimize budget decisions about maintenance and capital planning.
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Professional Services and will be a remote position within the US.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Serve as a single point of contact for customers by managing the overall client engagement, including business process analysis, software installation, configuration, training, and overall client management
- Lead discovery, co-creation workshops and stakeholder interviews with our customers to clearly understand and document their capital planning process requirements and critical success factors for the project
- Generate and manage project plans and milestones communication (internal and external stakeholders) as well as risk mitigation for implementations
- Develop project plans specifying goals, regular reporting, owning meetings and communication, following-up on tasks, identifying risks and contingency plans, and keeping resources and efforts focused on the priorities, timeline, and budget in support of our larger more complex projects
- Assist clients in modifying their current processes to maximize the ROI for our products
- Lead Core and transactional data migration projects; including mapping, import, and error/warning analysis
- Develop documentation for agendas, project progress, action items, process flow, and reports
- Provide training to educate the customer in the operation and use of their solution and their capital planning processes
- Establish a foundation for the customer to achieve success post-engagement
- Assist with presale activities including meetings and conference calls to determine needs analysis and project scope/pricing
- Identify potential change request opportunities and sells additional resources/services to clients to increase revenues over planned targets
- Committed to being a product expert and using best practice to achieve customer goals
- Ensure project adherence to Gordian's project methodology (standard work)
- Leverage and implement Fortive Business System (FBS) tools where appropriate to proactively identify and solve problems
- Ensure appropriate billability of project hours and allocate time and expenses to projects as necessary
- Ensure timely tracking and submission of forecasts for revenue and resources
- Deliver at least 70-80% billable hours
- Road warrior willing to travel (25% - 40% of the time) for in-person customer visits
- Must live within 45 minutes of a major international airport
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Architecture or Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience with facilities and data analytics
- At least 3 years’ experience in translating customer business requirements into business solutions and presenting those solutions to stakeholders
- Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, understanding client processes, making software and workflow work together
- Experience with all phases of a client software implementation lifecycle, including initial needs analysis, project administration, software configuration, onsite training, troubleshooting, and ongoing account management
- Experience implementing software and supporting clients. Managing multiple clients at once, breaking projects down into tasks, estimating effort and delivering the projects on time and on budget
- A thorough understanding of data manipulation and analysis for data migrations and building reports/visuals
- Proven ability to successfully balance multiple projects. Successfully manage your own Calendar and understand when the volume of requests will impact the quality of your work
- Experience managing a timeline, developing and executing project plans, and delivering to billable utilization targets
- Self-motivated learning style with a drive for consistent improvement and excellent eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including instructing and/or speaking to an audience
- Delivery focused. Have a good understanding to what you can and can’t commit to and have a proven track record of delivering what you committed to.
- Successful problem solver. Understand the difference between being solution focused and not simply agreeing to a client’s request when a better solution may be possible. You look for innovative ways to resolve issues and you aren’t constrained by what you don’t know.
Additional Experience (strongly desired, but not required):
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering (building disciplines), or Facilities Management fields
- Experience in data manipulation, ideally using SQL, SSIS or similar manipulation and workflow packages
- Experience hosting technical or software training, delivered in a traditional classroom or online learning environments
- Previous involvement in pre-sales activities
