As TeamSnap continues to grow, we’re seeking a motivated individual to join our League Operations Team team as a Sponsorship Business Development Representative (BDR)

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is motivated to start their career in sales, and has a “hunter” mentality when seeking out new organizations to onboard for sponsorship campaigns. They should have excellent communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, and the desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A successful BDR will identify and qualify a wide range of sports organizations for sponsorship opportunities by our Brand partners. 

What You'll Do:

  • Researching youth sports organizations that match our target profile, conduct a high volume of outreach with email, phone, social media, etc., qualifying them as candidates for sponsorships, and introducing them to our Onboarding team. 
  • Work within our varied tools and systems to maintain high quality prospect and customer data and record and track all contact activities.
  • Participate in campaign planning and reviews with various team members to ensure the pipeline of qualified sports orgs meet our Brand partner needs.
  • You’re not in a churn and burn environment. We’ll support you with training and continuous coaching to be successful. Our goal is to move Business Development Representatives into a more senior role in 9-12 months after proven success.

What Will Set You Up for Success:

  • Exceptional communication skills: You have extremely polished verbal and written communication skills, and can adapt your communication style to suit each client and internal business partner
  • People Smarts. You naturally adapt your style based on your audience, you understand how to influence and reach clients across a variety of levels across an organization. Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Hunter Mentality: Energy and desire to make 300+ phone calls weekly all while maintaining high motivation and a great attitude.  You are naturally curious and great at navigating client conversations, asking second and third level questions to get at the heart of client’s challenges and goals. A sense of urgency and motivation to exceed aggressive goals.
  • Flexibility and coachability. We’re always fine-tuning our approach as we go along, and we expect you to do the same. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong familiarity with the youth sports landscape and/or sponsorships
  • Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRMs, Microsoft Office and internet tools and research is preferred but not required
  • Preferred: 1 year cold calling experience including: Individual contributor experience in new business development and/or SaaS software or sports industry experience

Compensation
We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is $48,000, inclusive of base and commission, with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. 


🖥 Location
TeamSnap is a fully remote company, so you need to be very comfortable working with people who aren’t in the same time zone as you. We are always expanding, but there is a small list of states we do not hire in, including Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota and West Virginia and while we love all parts of the world, we can only hire permanent US residents at this time.
