Job Overview
Sr Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies which promote company growth and brand awareness. This role is responsible for developing strategies and business cases for all services and product innovations and current product optimization, factoring in market dynamics, consumer patterns, competitive actions, retailer/channel conflict, etc. The Sr Commercial Marketing Manager will work with multiple internal and external groups such as Market Intelligence, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Partnerships, Creative, Brand Strategy, Program Management and Operations to define and execute strategic vision. Lead the discovery phase for new opportunities and present recommendations to senior leadership. This is a great opportunity for a creative and innovative professional to identify new solutions and carry out projects in a large supported environment in service of driving meaningful customer engagement and retention.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement T-Mobile strategies to continuously improve the customer experience and drive subscriber and revenue growth.
  • Drive strategy and high-level business rationale - market/product/brand fit, etc. and own T-Mobile service and product roadmap.
  • Define target, value prop and reason to believe requirements – lead creation of and prioritizing use cases to deliver on strategy.
  • Develop strategy using data analytics and customer/business insights to clearly articulate the market opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leadership on path forward.
  • Collaborate closely with product and GTM teams to drive successful product launches and revenue enhancements.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Manages business performance including tracking of results, preparing contingencies and developing iterations of the plan in a competitive environment.
  • May lead/mentor less experienced peers.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree (Preferred)
  • Work Experience:
  • Marketing experience in one or more of the following categories: software/hardware, web, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or consumer packaged goods. (Required)
  • Driving strategy cross functionally. (Preferred)
  • Analyzing customer, business and industry data to drive business performance (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strategy and business case development- Builds marketing strategies and business cases that move awareness, consideration, conversion, engagement, and retention. Defines target, value prop, and reason to believe. Sets KPIs and success criteria before launch and carries go-to-market plans from concept through in-market execution.
  • Owned-channel campaign expertise-Owns email, SMS, push, and in-app programs end to end — brief, audience logic, creative direction, QA, launch — to engage customers across the lifecycle.
  • Customer data and audience fluency- Works from the customer's point of view and uses behavioral, demographic, and preference data to build journeys, targeting, and retargeting logic. Pulls and interprets performance data directly.
  • Test-and-learn and measurement discipline- Designs and runs tests across messaging, timing, and creativity. Builds holdouts and measures incremental impact. Uses results to optimize live programs and shape the next roadmap.
  • Influence without authority- Drives alignment across cross-functional partners without formal reporting lines. Builds on others' ideas with a "yes, and" mentality and frames ambiguous problems with "how might we." May mentor less experienced peers.

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $131,160 - $236,640

National Base Pay Range: $109,300 - $197,200

The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results.

The candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. The incentive component included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflects target performance. Actual earnings included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflect target performance; actual payouts may vary.
