About This Role:

We’re looking for a full-time Sr Corporate Events Manager to join our Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Corporate Events. This is a remote role based in the United States.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting Gainsight’s event portfolio, from our Pulse conferences to trade shows, virtual events, and internal programs, by managing planning and execution across multiple events at once and keeping budgets, vendors, and reporting on track. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote marketing environment where details matter, and enjoys working cross-functionally with teams like Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Creative. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in end-to-end event execution, budget and vendor management, and clear, proactive communication.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead assigned programs end to end, owning the plan, the timeline, and the results, and bringing in partners and vendors as needed to deliver.

  • Own planning and execution of assigned flagship events, coordinating session content, speakers, venues, logistics, internal communications, and on-site production.

  • Run trade shows and the quarterly virtual event series, using and improving documented playbooks so execution does not depend on any one person.

  • Manage logistics and delivery for internal programs such as Revenue Kickoff, Quarterly Company Meetings, and more. Both in-person and virtual.

  • Manage event budgets, contracts, and agency and vendor relationships, tracking spend against plan and reporting variances.

  • Partner with Demand Generation, Sales, Customer Success, and Campaign Managers on promotion, registration goals, and follow-up from invite through post-event.

  • Track attendance, pipeline, and retention results for each event, report on event impact to senior stakeholders, and build AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual operational work.

This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business. This role will require travel to events, concentrated around our flagship and peak event windows.

What We're Looking For:

  • 12 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent with some post-graduate work), required.

  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end execution of large events (1,000+ attendees), ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise tech.

  • Experience across multiple event formats, including trade shows, virtual events, executive or VIP programs, and internal events such as sales kickoffs.

  • Strong budget, contract, and vendor management skills, with the ability to run several workstreams at once without missing details.

  • Sound judgment and clear, proactive communication, with the ability to work independently and represent the team with senior stakeholders, including the CRO and CCO offices.

  • Familiarity with softwares and platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Notion, SFDC, Google Suite, Slack, and experience working with full-service event agencies and external production partners.

  • Positive, proactive, solution-oriented approach, with a can-do attitude and a bias for action.

  • Experience using AI in day-to-day work, and a willingness to keep learning as the tools change.

  • Collaborative style, with the ability to lead a project or a team to a successful result.

Nice-to-have skills or experience:

  • Experience producing global events or managing multi-region logistics.

  • PMP, CMP or similar certification is a plus.

  • Experience in customer success, post-sales, or retention, or in a related B2B software category.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
