JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sr. Manager-Infrastructure & Network will help oversee and directly support the organization’s core technology systems, including servers, networks, cloud services, and data centers. This role will lead efforts to design, maintain, and upgrade the technology backbone, bridging high-level IT strategy with hands-on operational execution. The ideal candidate brings strong proficiency across both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and network environments along with key skill sets in security and operations. 


JOB DUTIES:

  • Help define and execute the roadmap for IT infrastructure and network modernization, capacity planning, and cloud-based initiatives
  • Manage, update, and document reference architecture and implementation standards
  • Establish technology standards and operational procedures.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all environments
  • Establish and/or maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and oversee major incident response and root cause analysis
  • Manage budgets, evaluate enterprise solutions, and drive contract negotiations with vendors
  • Develop and execute infrastructure and network strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and support hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Ensure systems align with security policies and regulatory frameworks
  • Lead projects through scoping, budgeting, implementation, command and control, escalations, risk management, and time management
  • Ensure project governance is defined and maintained
  • Prepare technical analysis, reports, cost estimates, and contract documents
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance infrastructure efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Research and recommend innovative technologies, processes, and practices to improve infrastructure operations
  • Lead network security initiatives, including firewall management, segmentation, VPN, and incident response for network-related threats
  • Partner with application, development, security, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure decisions with organizational needs
  • Drive automation to reduce manual operations and improve reliability

  • Oversee 24x7 support and on-call rotations to ensure timely response to infrastructure and network incidents 
  • Support internal and external audits. 
  • Manage strategic technology vendors.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage performance of the infrastructure and network team to build organizational capability
  • Develop operational metrics and KPIs and produce executive dashboards and infrastructure health reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to plan and manage projects effectively
  • Experience with capacity planning and identifying opportunities to consolidate/decommission servers, databases and storage
  • Deep understanding of enterprise operating systems, directory services, networking, virtualization, and database systems, with demonstrated proficiency in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Proven track record leading enterprise infrastructure and network teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive multiple teams toward a common goal
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to create product specifications, performing competitive analysis and market research
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing performance for infrastructure and network staff
  • Hands-on familiarity with enterprise networking and infrastructure technologies (e.g., Cisco, VMware, firewalls, and network security tooling)
  • Hands on experience with VMWare and Hyper V (Oracle OCI a plus)
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud in areas such as Entra, PIM, Defender, InTune, Exchange, M365, Purview and Sharepoint.
  • Network experience in Routing, Switching, Load Balancers and Firewalls.
  • Cybersecurity awareness in endpoint protection, SIEM and SOC management, and security controls. Plus would be experience in across multiple security tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools for performance, capacity, and alerting
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and other relevant regulatory standards

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role directing enterprise infrastructure and network operations

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP, ITIL, PMI, V3, CQIA, CISM, CISSP, CCNA, MCSA, SCRUM
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and OCI
