At PitchBook, a Morningstar company, we are always looking forward. We continue to innovate, evolve, and invest in ourselves to bring out the best in everyone. We’re deeply collaborative and thrive on the excitement, energy, and fun that reverberates throughout the company.

Our extensive learning programs and mentorship opportunities help us create a culture of curiosity that pushes us to always find new solutions and better ways of doing things. The combination of a rapidly evolving industry and our high ambitions means there’s going to be some ambiguity along the way, but we excel when we challenge ourselves. We’re willing to take risks, fail fast, and do it all over again in the pursuit of excellence.

If you have a good attitude and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done, PitchBook is the place for you.

About the Role:

The AI CoBE team sits within PitchBook's Product & Engineering organization and is chartered with enabling AI adoption across all business functions. The team builds and operates shared AI platforms, manages tool access and governance, develops reusable workflow patterns, and provides the infrastructure and guardrails that allow business users to experiment safely and scale confidently.

You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Security, Legal, and—critically—the business functions you serve. Your team empowers users who are not engineers to leverage AI in their daily workflows, so strong user empathy and clear communication are as important as technical excellence.

As a Technical Product Manager, AI Center of Business Enablement (CoBE), you will lead the roadmap for a team responsible for building and operating the platforms that bring AI capabilities directly to PitchBook's business users—across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and beyond. This is not a research or prototyping role: your mission is to turn AI possibilities into practical, governed, day-to-day tools that help every function in the company work smarter.

You will serve as the connective tissue between cutting-edge AI tooling and the real needs of internal business users. Your team owns the foundational layers that make AI usable, safe, and scalable—from agent creation and workflow automation to self-service enablement and enterprise-grade governance. You act as a force multiplier, helping business teams move from ad-hoc experiments to repeatable, production-grade capabilities that create measurable value.

You will blend hands-on technical depth with genuine empathy for non-technical stakeholders, translating what's possible in AI into what's useful—and ensuring it reaches the people who need it most.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand the needs of business users across functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations) and translate them into practical AI-powered capabilities
  • Champion the business user experience—ensuring AI tools are intuitive, well-documented, and adopted widely, not just technically available
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and move them from idea to production
  • Build and maintain "golden path" solutions that make it easy for non-technical users to get value from AI safely
  • Own and execute the AI Enablement roadmap, including managed tool access, agent creation, workflow orchestration, and context management
  • Build platform roadmaps that support safe experimentation, scaling of successful AI patterns, and delivery of production-grade AI solutions
  • Enable teams to transition from ad-hoc AI experiments to managed, reusable capabilities embedded in daily workflows
  • Partner with Security and Legal to ensure AI usage meets compliance, data governance, and risk requirements
  • Establish standards and best practices for responsible AI use across the organization
  • Ensure platforms are reliable, secure, and auditable—building trust with business users and leadership
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience in financial services or related domains (data analyst, data scientist, data/software engineering)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with executive-level stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and accessibility principles
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on aligning data products with business objectives
  • Experience influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
  • Hands-on experience building solutions on Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or OpenAI/ChatGPT
  • Demonstrated ability to build or manage AI-powered workflows for business functions such as Sales, Marketing, or Finance
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and translate them into clear product direction
  • Experience prioritizing across competing initiatives using data, user input, and business context
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel) or agent-based architectures preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise data security and compliance requirements for AI deployments preferred
  • Track record of scaling internal AI tools from prototype to production across multiple business teams preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Working Conditions:

At the heart of our company is a belief in the power of in-person collaboration. Being together in the office fuels our creativity, strengthens our connections, and drives the innovation that sets us apart. Our culture is built on spontaneous moments—those hallway conversations, whiteboard brainstorms, and shared celebrations in each of our global offices—that simply can’t be replicated remotely. This role is expected to be in the office 5 days a week.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.

We are excited to get to know you and your background. Concerned that you might not meet every requirement? We encourage you to still apply as you might be the right candidate for the role or other roles at PitchBook.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
