You’ll be both a strategic relationship leader and business operator, building strong executive relationships while ensuring each partnership has clear goals, strong governance, disciplined execution, and a path to profitable growth.

  • Translate company priorities into joint partner objectives, KPIs, investment plans, and actionable workstreams.
  • Build and lead joint go-to-market strategies, including field alignment, enablement, demand generation, co-selling, and partner-funded initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Product teams to align roadmaps, strengthen integrations and workflows, and identify opportunities that increase customer value.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, providing performance insights, recommendations, and clear follow-through on decisions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across areas such as growth, retention, margin, adoption, pipeline, product delivery, and operational health.
  • Build trusted relationships with partner executives and functional leaders, navigating escalations and securing commitments that advance shared goals.
  • Identify new commercial, product, growth, and route-to-market opportunities within existing partnerships and develop the business case for investment.
  • Orchestrate execution across Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Support, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitive trends and recommend adjustments to partnership strategy and investment.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations to manage contractual commitments, renewals, key milestones, and other time-sensitive requirements.
  • Maintain clear partnership documentation and governance to ensure accountability, visibility, and consistent execution.
  • Bring a strong, fact-based point of view and help senior stakeholders make timely decisions.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic alliances, business development, partner management, product strategy, go-to-market, general management, or a related area.
  • Experience managing strategic relationships and complex cross-functional initiatives within a B2B software or technology environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to approach a strategic partnership as a business, balancing growth, customer value, investment, and profitability.
  • Experience turning strategy into coordinated execution across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of B2B software go-to-market models, technology alliances, partner/channel ecosystems, and recurring revenue businesses.
  • Ability to define and analyze KPIs, interpret business and financial performance, identify root causes, and recommend action.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and align senior internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, program management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of commercial agreements and an ability to partner effectively with Legal and other subject-matter experts on contractual requirements.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant business experience.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
