The Strategy & Operations team within Digital is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead and manage complex security initiatives.  In this role, you will drive planning, execution, deployment, and operationalizing technical projects focused on improving our organization’s security posture, protecting critical assets, ensuring compliance with security standards, and mitigating risks. As a key player working at the intersection of Product, Digital and Security, you will work cross-functionally to align stakeholders, manage critical dependencies, and report progress to leadership. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and successfully deliver large-scale security initiatives, incident response enhancements, and compliance projects.  

  • Partner with product, Digital, OCISO teams, and leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives and ensure cohesive execution.  

  • Develop project plans with detailed milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure on-time execution and measurable outcomes.  

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks, resolve escalations, and remove blockers to ensure seamless execution of critical programs.  

  • Ensure programs adhere to key security frameworks provided by OCISO and Digital to maintain organizational compliance and support audit readiness.  

  • Implement scalable program management processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and consistency across security initiatives.  

  • Develop and present progress reports, program KPIs, and dashboards to stakeholders, providing clear visibility into program status and impact.  

  • Train and mentor junior program managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across program teams.  

  • Continuously monitor and recommend strategies that address emerging cybersecurity threats and integrate innovations into the organization’s security posture.  

  • Advocate for security awareness and foster organizational buy-in for security practices through effective communication and leadership. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience, preferably in a technical and/or security-related role. 

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, frameworks, including risk management vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance. 

  • Experience and/or familiarity with security compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, 27001, SOC2, GDPR, etc.) and their application in complex environments. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. 

  • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid Models). 

  • Technical background and/or familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM solutions, endpoint protection, firewalls, and encryption strategies. 

  • Analytical problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

The annual base pay for this position is: $144,000.00 - $216,000.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
