As a member within the Power DT Engineering organization, you will shape the future of the Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) software landscape by defining and executing our application portfolio strategy. As a key partner to the Engineering business, you will drive simplification, innovation and seamless integration of the pillar applications across global engineering stakeholder community.
This is a high-impact opportunity to implement transformation initiatives, influence the future of Engineering across the Power Segment within GE Vernova, and work at the intersection of technology, business, and leadership.

Job Description

What you’ll do  

 

  • Partner with Engineering to define and execute the CAD strategy, aligning with overall business goals and customer needs. 

  • Lead the simplification of the CAD application portfolio across Engineering product lines, own the roadmap, ensuring alignment with technology and business priorities. 

  • Track and optimize CAD license usage and cost 

  • Track program execution status, metrics, and milestones; ensure delivery commitments from internal and external partners are met. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define future technology innovation and architecture for products and services. 

  • Proactively communicate requirements, timelines, and stakeholder needs to resolve conflicting priorities and drive consensus. 

 

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), with significant years of IT professional experience, or equivalent knowledge

  • Proven experience in leading and optimizing software application portfolios 

 

What will make you stand out 

 

  • Understanding of the overall engineering business domain and processes 

  • Understanding of latest CAD software solutions, in particular NX, CATIA, Inventor and Autodesk 

  • Highly effective communicator with experience in presenting and interacting with senior stakeholders 

  • Expertise with Lean and SAFe/Agile. Demonstrated understanding of Agile principles and tools used for effective team and work management. 

  • Ability to deconstruct problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are ambiguous. 

  • Uses critical thinking skills and organizational skills to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions.
