Overview

We’re hiring a Strategic Account Executive to drive net-new revenue in our Strategic segment. This is a full-cycle role designed for a seller who can create demand, run complex deal cycles, and consistently close high-quality pipeline.

You’ll own the full motion end-to-end, from initial account strategy and outbound creation through discovery, multi-threading, procurement, and close. You’ll be partnered with a dedicated Strategic SDR who leads the outbound motion, while you own full-cycle execution and conversion. Success in this role requires tight collaboration across SDR, Marketing, and Partnerships to continuously refine messaging, increase outbound effectiveness, scale repeatable pipeline creation, win new logos and expand our footprint.

Key Metrics
  • Closed/won revenue (quota attainment)- across net new business + on base

  • Pipeline coverage and pipeline quality (strategic fit + stage integrity)

  • Win rate and cycle time

  • Forecast accuracy and on-time close performance

  • ACV and strategic deal mix progression

Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from demo to close

  • Build and execute account plans for Strategic targets, identifying the highest-probability paths to close.

  • Run executive-level discovery that ties business outcomes to measurable value and a clear decision process.

  • Build strong, multi-threaded relationships across stakeholders (economic buyer, champions, power users, security/procurement).

  • Drive process discipline: clear next steps, mutual action plans, consistent deal hygiene, and risk management.

  • Maintain high-quality CRM rigor (stages reflect truth, notes are usable, and forecasts are accurate).

  • Partner closely with a Strategic SDR focused on outbound execution, aligning on account strategy, targeting, sequencing, and conversion plays.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, SDR, and Partnerships to refine and scale messaging, improve outbound performance, increase conversion across channels and support land/expand motions.

  • Translate outbound learnings into repeatable talk tracks, positioning, and account-based plays that create consistent pipeline across Strategic accounts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years in strategic or enterprise sales.

  • Strong track record selling SaaS solutions into complex organizations.

  • Proven ability to close net-new revenue, manage multi-threaded/committee based sales cycles, and engage senior leadership.

  • Confident in managing full commercial ownership of deals with high discipline in pipeline management, forecasting, and deal strategy

  • Strong communication skills, clear, direct, and executive-ready.

Preferred

  • Experience with Chili Piper

  • Experience selling into RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, or GTM leadership

  • Experience working with product-led stakeholders + technical buyers (security, IT, procurement)

  • Familiarity with scheduling automation, inbound conversion, routing, or lifecycle revenue workflows

  • Prior experience in a category-building environment or early scaling org

  • Based in United States

Additional Information

Why you'll love being a part of our team:

Our team loves Chili Piper because we’re building the company of the future.

  • Work with an immensely talented global team

  • Work in a business that’s run fairly and transparently

  • Competitive pay based on market rate wherever you live

  • We lead by example--showing industry peers and leaders how to innovate, improve, and grow--while having fun

How we work:

  • Freedom and flexibility. We’re a 100% distributed team working from around the world, and we've been fully remote since 2016. Our team members can work from wherever they want in the world, as long as they show up on our weekly all hands meeting on Zoom.

  • Solve interesting problems. The software landscape has exploded. There are dozens of solutions for each problem. We want to be different. We come up with new angles on existing problems or invent better solutions to help companies with their sales and marketing. Then we turn these ideas into beautiful, smart software.

  • Autonomy and ownership. Working on a distributed team means you don’t have someone micromanaging you or looking over your shoulder to make sure you’re getting things done. We’re a team of do-ers who take full ownership for their results.

  • Be helpful. Our first value as a company is help. Help our customers be successful. Help our prospects get the right information and make the right decision whether or not it includes our products. Help our team members reach their full potential.

The perks:

  • Unlimited vacation (and we do mean it, and we do take it!)

  • Generous health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Any equipment/software/tech that you need to do your job

  • Annual professional development stipend of $2,000 USD

  • Equity - all Pipers receive stock options

  • Annual company retreat in epic locations (past trips: Paris, Morocco, Tulum, Iceland, Ibiza, India). Check out the video from last year’s retreat in Tenerife.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
