The Strategic Client Executive is responsible for the overall management of a book of National Accounts in the 5,000+ customer segment. They are accountable for the maintenance, growth and increased profitability of existing business and the strategic direction of assigned accounts. Direct strategic, customer specific initiatives, which deliver "value added" services through the execution of client specific business plans. Coordinate and influence superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining solid intercompany relationships.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $75,000 - $160,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Solid understanding of self-funded marketplace and pricing disciplines
- Establish and maintain "solid and appropriate" level relationships with customers and consultants; ensure UHG senior management has customer specific "board level" contacts
- Develop and monitor client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation and profitability levels
- Detailed understanding of all UnitedHealthcare products, services and solutions
- Ability to navigate UnitedHealthcare internal departments to produce positive results for clients and the company
- Demonstrate marketing and technical expertise through: Client, broker and consultant meetings
- Assessment of approach, resources, and contacts needed to complete RFP's
- Provide feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients
- Maintain a high level of healthcare industry knowledge as well as customer's industry

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales and client management experience consulting on group employee benefits
- Appropriate state insurance licenses or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Demonstrated underwriting, financial and analytical skills
- Demonstrated relationship management skills & proven track record of building, maintaining and cultivating client relationships
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues
- Demonstrated to be skilled at articulating our value proposition to customers including the Clinical, and financial aspects of our business
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, visually, verbally, and in writing, and develop consensus among multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to easily flex between competing priorities in workload or change in deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent group presentation and training skills
- Willing and able to travel 30% +/- depending on business need
- Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated problem solver - can move quickly within UHG to solve customer issues
- Demonstrated to be detail orientated professional with solid organizational and leadership skills, self-directed
- Demonstrated to be skillful negotiator with a strategic vision for his/her accounts
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills (internal/external) with the ability to build solid relationships with Senior level staff at large employer groups
