About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.

We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the team

The Strategic Finance team at Paxos plays a critical role in supporting the company's mission by providing financial expertise and strategic guidance for product development and go-to-market initiatives. This team is responsible for developing and executing financial plans to ensure the successful launch and growth of Paxos' products and services in a rapidly evolving industry. It helps support the business by developing financial models, pricing strategies, budget allocations and performance tracking to ensure that Paxos' products and services are financially viable, compliant and competitive. Their efforts help Paxos drive innovation, expand market reach and ultimately achieve Paxos’ mission of building a more open and inclusive financial system.

  • Craft a unit economics framework to assess investment in product features/GTM initiatives and track ROI throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into strategic issues to improve the collective understanding of risks and opportunities related to the business.

About you

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
