Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position of Strategic Technology & Capture Sourcing Manager to join our growing team of diverse professionals.
The Strategic Technology Sourcing Manager leads a team of technologists and supply chain specialists that help shape sourcing strategies for tech discriminators and priority captures within the Defense Systems (DS) sector. This manager partners across internal functions (including Business Development, Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain), Divisions, suppliers, and Industrial Base Policy organizations to shape investment and design decisions that improve speed, producibility, affordability, and capacity.
We are looking for an experienced and cross-functional leader, proven experience executing in ambiguous and fast-moving situations. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, a strong communicator, and a strategic thinker.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Ability to identify gaps in the supply base and solutions to resolve before program needs
Developing forecasts and sourcing strategies for critical technologies
Providing sourcing support for priority captures
Partnering with Engineering and other functions to drive producibility, develop supplier capabilities and capacity, and reduce sourcing risks. Includes driving commonality in design features (e.g., through usage of product lines and building blocks)
Managing strategic partner agreements and associated Executive Committees
Pursuing and managing investments (including NCTA, supplier, and government funding) to mature technologies in advance of program awards
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments OR Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments
At least 5 years leading teams/people either direct or indirect
Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering processes, defense technologies, and defense programs
Experience preparing proposals for government acquisitions
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with and a working knowledge of DS product lines and technology building blocks
Experience working with suppliers on advanced technologies
Experience in business development and associated customer interactions
Current and/or Active DoD Secret level
