Position Title: Strategy & Insights Analyst

Department: Field Operations

Location:  Remote, United States

Reports To: Director – Retail Accounts

Installation Made Easy (“IME”) provides software and process management that enable retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.

We are looking for a highly analytical, business-minded Strategy & Insights Analyst who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys turning complex data into clear business direction.

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, strategic storytelling, and operational performance. You won't just build reports — you'll develop the frameworks, methodologies, and narratives that drive how we show up with our retail partners and how leadership makes decisions. You'll work directly with senior leadership, have visibility early, and be expected to bring a point of view.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating with minimal oversight. They should be equally confident pulling and structuring data, building an executive presentation, or walking leadership through performance insights and recommendations. A consulting background is strongly preferred — we move fast, we figure things out, and we expect you to do the same.

This is a fully remote role. Occasional in-person participation for corporate events or executive meetings may be required.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop standardized executive-ready reporting templates for retailer meetings, including promotional performance, provider performance, and funnel conversion reporting.
  • Build and maintain promotional lift analysis frameworks to measure pre-, during-, and post-promotion performance across categories and initiatives.
  • Establish post-implementation tracking methodologies for program changes and operational initiatives, including KPI definition, measurement, and outcome analysis.
  • Stress test business cases prior to retailer and executive presentations to align assumptions, validate expectations, and reduce surprises in stakeholder discussions.
  • Analyze program and funnel performance to identify trends, conversion drivers, and operational opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to support strategic storytelling by identifying supporting data, building analytical narratives, and translating insights into executive-ready presentations and decks.
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis, forecasting, projections, performance reporting, and one-off strategic requests with speed and accuracy.
  • Develop scalable cross-retailer insights frameworks that identify what is working, why it is working, and how those learnings can be leveraged across the business.
  • Transform operational and performance data into actionable business recommendations for internal leadership and external retail partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business intelligence, operations, retail, and leadership teams to align on reporting and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, analytical frameworks, and business processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in analytics, consulting, business strategy, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong experience building presentations and executive-facing reporting materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consulting or strategy background strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in SQL — comfortable pulling, structuring, and building independently
  • Experience supporting retail, home improvement, marketplace, or multi-location business models
  • Experience building KPI frameworks or performance measurement methodologies
  • Familiarity with funnel analysis, conversion reporting, and promotional analytics

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
