Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our Systems team in Everett, Washington.
The Supply Chain Operations Manager leads a team responsible for supplier portfolio management, on time project execution, rate readiness, and performance of build and delivery activities for Boeing airplane programs. The team assures that these suppliers are adequately staffed and have the engineering, design, qualification, and production capacity to execute all Boeing requirements and follow-on production programs with on-time delivery to the Boeing production system while meeting all certification and quality requirements.
You will be joining a team dedicated to creating a culture focused on empowerment, accountability and trust, with complex work packages in a fast paced and multifaceted environment. Ideal candidates will excel in building and leading high performing teams, partnering cross functionally to solve complex supply chain issues, and strategic decision-making to support supply chain and production goals.
Our team is currently hiring a (Level K) Supply Chain Operations Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manage employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally 10% as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Proven ability to execute commitments
  • Experience utilizing strategic decision making and supply chain metrics to drive business results

Summary pay range (Level K) $122,400 - $165,600
