Description:


For more than two decades, APX, Inc. (an Xpansiv company) has provided scheduling, settlement, and real-time data solutions to wholesale power market participants. APX is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the APX Product development team and help build and maintain the technical solutions and services used by our customers. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have strong analytical and technical skills, and possess a desire to work in the energy industry. As part of the Power Solutions team, this person will help to deliver exceptional products and service to our customers – in concert with Xpansiv’s mission to empower the world's transition to sustainable energy. What you’ll do:

· Become proficient with the internal and external tools and systems used to provide services to APX customers. Note, this includes work with SCADA (Supervisory Controle and Data Acquisition) systems.

· Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, identifying and resolving system issues promptly.

· Assist in analyzing and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.

· Support the design, development, and implementation of system solutions to improve operational efficiency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless operation of systems.

· Assist in preparing user manuals, training materials, and technical documentation.

· Participate in project meetings, contributing to project planning and status updates.

· Stay current with industry trends and best practices in the electrical power sector.


What you’ll bring:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or technical field, and/or several years of experience working as a systems analyst or in a similar technical role.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (or the demonstrated ability to learn).

· Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and superior knowledge of Excel/spreadsheets.

· Capacity to quickly absorb commercial and technical concepts.

· Capability to work remotely/virtually across time zones with various groups and cultures.


Desired Qualifications:

· Documented experience working with SQL, REST APIs, SCADA systems

· Electric power industry experience

Base Salary

Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:

NYC: Compensation is expected to be between

$83,000 and $108,000
