About MGA

At Miller Grossbard Advisors, LLC (MGA), we do more than provide tax and accounting services. We build lasting partnerships with entrepreneur-led businesses that want clarity, strategy, and confidence at every stage of growth.

Our highly experienced team works side-by-side with business owners to navigate complex financial decisions, from tax planning and assurance to transaction support, succession planning, and long-term strategy. We take the time to understand how their business truly operates so we can deliver solutions that are practical, proactive, and aligned with where they're headed.

Quality, collaboration, and forward-thinking define how we work. By combining deep technical expertise with a relationship-driven approach, we help our clients make informed decisions, create long-term value, and move forward with confidence.

At MGA, we make the complex simple... together.

About the Role

You’re not just a tax professional; you’re a Tax All-Star. The kind of person who knows how to deliver high-level service to clients, perform engagements with confidence, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You’ve got some great well-rounded experience, a client-first mindset, and a track record of growing within a mid-sized Firm.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.

We’re looking for a Tax All-Star, at the Tax Senior II level, with the following experience and strengths:

  • 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting
  • Experience at a mid-size firm (40+ FTE)
  • Strong background serving privately held businesses and their owners
  • Comfortable working on multiple engagements at a time, preparing complex returns, and reviewing smaller returns
  • EA credential or CPA preferred
  • Gift tax and non-profit experience is a plus but not required.
  • Someone that loves interacting with clients - someone who communicates clearly, builds relationships easily.  Our team has hands-on experience and relationships with clients at all levels. We love people that enjoy building relationships with their clients
  • Our team has lots of flexibility, and we love someone that likes to manage their own schedule and not be micromanaged.  All of our team is given a client book of business to work with, so they have consistent client relationships and projects year to year that help them learn and grow.

This is a great fit for someone who’s gotten some great experience at a larger firm and is now ready to step into a more visible, client-centered role. You’ll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team that values initiative, integrity, and growth, both for our clients and our people.

Remote / hybrid options are available. You do not need to be based in the Houston, TX area to apply, but local candidates are encouraged.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
