The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) P-8 Poseidon Program is seeking a Technical Integration Engineer to join the Chief Engineer's Office in support of this high-visibility, advanced maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft program. This position is located in Tukwila, WA and is 100% onsite.
The P-8 Program, together with its suppliers, delivers the safest and most sophisticated Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW), and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) weapon system supporting the U.S. National Defense Strategy by enhancing maritime domain awareness.
As a Technical Integration Engineer, you will provide engineering leadership to a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with the program chief engineer, engineering capabilities, program managers, contracts, estimating, supply chain, and customers to execute program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:• Resolve technical issues through coordination with engineering and the Chief Engineer.• Manage deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; monitor baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned.• Brief customers and leadership on program status, technical risks, challenges, and support needs.• Develop statements of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements.• Identify and manage changes to SOW, assess impacts, and incorporate changes accordingly.• Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.• Lead and participate in technical reviews, providing feedback to meet customer SOW.• Apply critical thinking, problem solving, change management, project management, influencing without authority, and consultation skills.• Proactively communicate with leadership teams, peers, and customers.• Review and approve technical exports, assist in developing export plans, and ensure program compliance with U.S. export laws and policies.
This position will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
• Level 4: 9+ years of related experience.
• Level 5: 14+ years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• 7+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
• 5+ years of experience working on aircraft modification programs or new airplane programs.
• Experience providing customer support to address concerns.
• Ability to quickly learn technical engineering designs and concepts.• Experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.• Excellent communication skills, including concise writing and verbal communication in one-on-one, small group, and large audience settings.• Experience with the P-8A aircraft.• Experience presenting technical content to Boeing and customer leadership.• Strong project management skills.
