This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite) and we are considering candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH.
Job Introduction:

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner III - Kubernetes Platform for our Container Platform within GDS Application Environments. In this role, you will represent the voice of the customer and the organization, collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into prioritized epics and features. You'll evolve our platform to meet business needs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
As a strategic thinker, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy while managing multiple digital products related to container runtimes. You will lead an agile team to ensure successful product increments, develop key performance indicators, and enhance user experience-all while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. If you have a proven track record in cloud-native technologies, a strong understanding of microservices and Kubernetes, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, we want to hear from you! Strategic / Product Management Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the Container Platform portfolio vision, aligning with both business and technology stakeholders.
- Collaboratively create and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Container Platform offerings.
- Own multiple digital products related to container runtimes and articulate their value and outcomes through measurable OKRs.
- Work closely with the agile team to clarify business needs, support alignment around product strategy, and prioritize features accordingly.
- Define and communicate deliverables based on investment priorities and customer requirements.
- Foster consensus through collaboration, developing outcomes that motivate and empower team members.
Execution Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful delivery of product increments by managing the team's backlog and breaking down initiatives into achievable milestones
- Develop and achieve product-level key performance indicators (KPIs) for container runtimes and Kubernetes environments.
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it contains clear, actionable features tailored to the Containers Platform.
- Balance tactical and strategic decisions while collaborating with other product owners and technical leaders.
- Lead sessions with users and customers to gain insights into product usage and identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with User Experience teams to deliver intuitive and cohesive container management products.
- Monitor and maintain product health, proactively identifying potential impacts on other services.
- Analyze feasibility, cost, and other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product offering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (business, computer science, humanities etc. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of Product Owner experience supporting agile teams.
- Proven track record of a product mindset.
- Experience in cloud-native technologies, container orchestration, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, container runtime environments, telemetry and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
