About Roguebeam

Roguebeam is an early-stage company building advanced phased array systems for communications and radar. We design and build complete systems in-house, from beamforming RFICs and antenna elements through digital, DSP, and full-panel integration, for satellite, HAPS/NTN, defense, and radar applications. Our team is small, highly technical, and focused on shipping hardware that works in the field.

The Role

We are hiring our first full-time, in-house recruiter. You will own hiring end to end across engineering and operations roles, including ASIC design, antenna and RF systems, DSP and FPGA, embedded software, hardware test, and manufacturing. Working directly with the founders and hiring managers, you will build the process, tools, and candidate pipeline that bring the next wave of Roguebeam's team on board.

This is a hands-on role. You will source, screen, coordinate, and close candidates yourself, while also putting in place the structure that lets hiring scale as the company grows.

What You'll Do
  • Run full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, from intake and sourcing through offer and close.

  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, level expectations, interview plans, and evaluation criteria.

  • Proactively source passive candidates in specialized fields such as RFIC/analog/mixed-signal design, phased array and antenna engineering, radar and DSP, and FPGA/embedded systems.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through LinkedIn, technical communities, university programs, conferences, and referrals.

  • Stand up and manage an applicant tracking system (ATS) and the recruiting workflows around it.

  • Write and maintain job postings, and help shape how Roguebeam presents itself to candidates while operating in stealth.

  • Deliver a responsive, well-organized candidate experience: scheduling, communication, feedback, and follow-through.

  • Support compensation and offer preparation, including salary and equity benchmarking, in partnership with the founders.

  • Track and report on pipeline health, time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and other hiring metrics.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies and search partners when needed.

  • Support onboarding coordination with new hires and internal teams.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a significant portion focused on engineering or technical roles.

  • A track record of hiring hardware, semiconductor, RF, aerospace, or defense engineers.

  • Strong sourcing skills and comfort reaching out to passive candidates in niche technical fields.

  • Enough technical fluency to hold credible conversations with engineers and to screen candidates against technical requirements.

  • Experience setting up or improving recruiting processes and ATS tools.

  • Clear, professional communication and sound judgment with confidential information.

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with a high degree of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as the first or sole recruiter at a startup.

  • Recruiting experience for defense or export-controlled programs, including familiarity with ITAR/EAR considerations in hiring.

  • Familiarity with the Seattle-area and national semiconductor, RF, and aerospace talent markets.

  • Experience supporting employer branding, university recruiting, or campus programs.

Why Roguebeam
  • Ground-floor opportunity: you will shape how Roguebeam hires and who joins the team at a formative stage.

  • Direct partnership with the founders and meaningful influence on the company's growth.

  • Work alongside a deeply technical team building hardware for demanding applications.

  • Meaningful equity in an early-stage company.

Additional Information

This position is based on-site at our Seattle-area locations. Because of the nature of our work, this role may require access to information subject to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals) or otherwise eligible to access such information.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
