About Duroair

Duroair is a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial company specializing in clean, productive, and safe work environments for industrial processes. We pair our advanced air filtration systems with custom retractable containment solutions used across Aerospace, Military & Defense, Alternative Energy, Metal Fabrication, and Manufacturing sectors. Our patented systems increase workflow flexibility, reduce costs, improve worker health and safety, and eliminate the need for costly infrastructure changes.

About the Role

We have an immediate opening for a Technical Sales & Business Development Representative with 5+ years of experience in the military, aerospace, MRO, or cleanroom industry. This is a remote, field-based role covering the USA. You will identify and develop new accounts across the Aerospace & Defense supply chain, including MRO facilities, defense OEMs, and prime contractors, while growing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate has a hunter mentality, technical credibility, and the ability to engage confidently with engineering, quality, and operations stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify & Qualify Leads: Research and identify potential new clients across the A&D MRO supply chain, including defense OEMs, prime and Tier 1/2 contractors, and precision fabrication shops.
  • Understand Customer Needs: Assess customer needs and challenges around contamination control, surface prep, and protective coatings — and recommend appropriate Duroair solutions.
  • Present Solutions: Deliver engaging presentations that showcase the technical features and benefits of Duroair’s cleanroom, coating, and dust/particulate solutions.
  • Negotiate & Close: Negotiate contracts and close sales deals, managing the full cycle from first contact through proposal, qualification, and approval.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with engineering, quality, and procurement contacts for ongoing support and repeat business.
  • Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, including guidance on cleanroom classification, MIL-SPEC/AMS compliance, and application troubleshooting.
  • Represent the Company: Attend trade shows, conferences, and supplier days (e.g., AeroDef) to generate leads and strengthen Duroair’s market presence.
  • Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate pipeline records, quotes, and forecasts in CRM. Prepare regular reports and track sales performance against targets.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure customer needs are met and relay field intelligence back to the business.

Skills Required

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of products and processes within the military, aerospace, MRO, coating, or cleanroom industry.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to win new accounts and grow territory revenue in a field-based, technical sales environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and procurement audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify customer issues, assess application requirements, and recommend the right solution.
  • Relationship-Building: Comfortable building and maintaining strong client relationships over long sales cycles.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage a pipeline, prioritize accounts, and meet deadlines across a broad territory.
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable with CRM platforms for pipeline management, call reporting, and forecasting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace coating and cleanroom standards (e.g., MIL-SPEC, AMS, NADCAP) is a strong asset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience in coatings, dust control, cleanroom products, or a related industrial sector with direct A&D exposure.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical presentations, proposals, customer qualification, and closing.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned US territory, including visits to MRO facilities, production floors, and cleanroom environments.
  • Background in chemistry, materials science, aerospace engineering technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Existing network within the A&D MRO supply chain is a strong asset.
  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with a bonus structure tied to new business performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • The opportunity to represent a specialized, high-value product line where technical expertise is a true competitive differentiator.
