Here is how the Total Rewards Intern role will impact our business:

The Total Rewards Intern will support the Human Resources team in the areas of compensation, benefits, and HR systems. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn how data, systems, and programs work together to support employees. The role will also provide valuable experience assisting with the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Total Rewards Support

  • Assist with gathering and organizing data for compensation and benefits programs.
  • Support the preparation of compensation survey submissions and data audits.
  • Conduct research on total rewards trends, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to employee communications related to compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of materials and reports for HR meetings and projects.

HRIS Implementation Support

  • Participate in activities related to the rollout of the new HRIS platform.
  • Learn how HR systems connect different parts of the employee experience.
  • Document system processes, workflows, and data standards.

General HR Support

  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Total Rewards teams.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and care

Qualifications/Skills

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel and an interest in learning HR technology platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Learning Opportunities

  • Gain hands-on experience with HR data, systems, and total rewards programs.
  • Learn about HRIS implementation and the role of technology in HR operations.
  • Develop skills in compensation and benefits analysis.

  • Collaboration and Communication – Works effectively with Total Rewards team members, demonstrating professionalism and reliability; communicates clearly, asks thoughtful questions, and provides timely updates on projects.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skill Development – Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion; identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states:  California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
