We are looking for a dynamic Trade Compliant Specialist to become a vital part of our vibrant Global Trade Compliance & Logistics team, working remotely across the United States. Join the energy and come be part of the momentum!
This is an amazing opportunity to get involved! As a Trade Compliant Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s international operations across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC regions. In this role, you will help ensure compliance with U.S. sanctions and export control regulations, related EU regulations, the Singapore Strategic Goods Act, and other global trade compliance requirements. You will support a variety of global trade compliance functions including denied party screenings, export and import classifications, contract reviews, and maintaining procedural documentation. This role requires a candidate who combines strong regulatory expertise with practical operational knowledge of global logistics and supply chains to help ensure the company’s international activities remain compliant and efficient.

This is a 6-12 month contract with potential for extension.
Insight on your impact:
Denied Party Screening
- Conduct screening of all customers, suppliers, and other parties against U.S. denied or restricted party lists.
- Identify and escalate potential hits or compliance concerns.
- Maintain documentation of screening results and actions taken.
Export and Import Classification
- Support ECCN and HTS classification for products shipped from the U.S., EMEA, and APAC.
- Review technical product information to determine classification under:
- U.S. EAR / Commerce Control List (CCL)
- EU Dual-Use Regulations
- Singapore Strategic Goods Act
- End-use and end-user verification
- Maintain classification records and supporting documentation.
Contract Review
- Assist in reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and agreements to ensure compliance with:
- U.S. sanctions and export controls
- DFARS/FARS requirements
- Trade compliance clauses
- Flag contractual terms that may pose regulatory risk.
Procedural Documentation
- Draft and update work instructions, SOPs, and process flows related to trade compliance.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to document shipment-level compliance procedures.
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives for trade compliance processes.
Engagement Expectations
- Independent contractor providing expert support and recommendations.
- Collaboration with internal teams: Legal, Logistics, Procurement, and Operations.
- All work products and documentation developed during the engagement are the property of the company.
Your qualifications, your influence:
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in trade compliance, export/import operations, or logistics compliance
- Experience performing denied party screening
- Experience using trade compliance software (E2Open, Descartes, AEB, etc.)
- Knowledge of ECCN, HTS, and global export/import regulations
- Ability to review contracts for compliance clauses, including FAR/DFAR considerations
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred skills and technical familiarity:
Adding additional insight, and a growth mindset, will elevate your contribution in this role
- Prior experience with multi-jurisdiction operations in the U.S., EMEA, APAC (particularly Hungary and Singapore)
- Experience drafting SOPs or procedural work instructions
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems
