The Utility Clerk is responsible for managing and overseeing the utility operations within an organization, ensuring efficient and accurate utility billing, record keeping, and customer service. This role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process utility billing for customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of invoices.
- Maintain and update utility usage records, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding utility services, billing, and account issues.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare reports on utility usage, billing, and customer service metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a utility billing or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of utility operations and billing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
