The role is a senior leadership position, requiring strategic vision, commercial rigour, and hands‑on execution, working closely with Sales, Operations, Client Services, and the wider M3 Group.

Key responsibilities include:

Global Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Act as senior marketing leader and partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
  • Establish clear marketing priorities, operating plans, and global KPIs
  • Ensure consistency of message, brand, and execution across regions (US, Europe, APAC)
  • Own marketing ROI, budget efficiency, and performance optimisation

Revenue Growth & Demand Generation

  • Drive measurable pipeline growth through integrated B2B demand generation and account‑based marketing (ABM)
  • Partner closely with global and regional Sales leaders to improve lead quality, conversion, and commercial effectiveness
  • Support strategic account growth, new client acquisition, and cross‑sell of M3 MR Group capabilities across operating brands and solutions

Brand, Positioning & Thought Leadership

  • Own global brand positioning for M3 MR Group within healthcare market research and insights
  • Define and manage the group brand architecture—clearly differentiating M3 MR Group’s brands and propositions, with distinct positioning, messaging, and use‑cases while maintaining a consistent group‑level narrative
  • Clearly communicate M3’s differentiation: proprietary physician panels, data quality, compliance, speed, and global scale
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives across healthcare research, insights, and methodology
  • Oversee PR, conferences, sponsorships (e.g. ephmra, BHBIA, Intellus), content, and external communications

Product & Solutions Marketing

  • Translate M3’s diverse research capabilities into compelling, client‑focused value propositions
  • Own go‑to‑market strategies for new solutions, methodologies, and market expansions
  • Develop high‑impact sales enablement materials across proposals, decks, case studies, and credentials
  • Support pricing, packaging, and competitive positioning in collaboration with Commercial leadership

Communications

  • Own an integrated communication plan across all group brands and products, and make sure that all communications remain on brand and on message
  • Ensure an appropriate cadence of high quality communications across all channels, brands and products
  • Maximise the leverage of thought leadership, events and product developments throughout communications

Digital & Marketing Infrastructure

  • Lead global digital marketing strategy (web, SEO/SEM, email, paid media, marketing automation)
  • Ensure tight integration between marketing systems, CRM, and sales processes
  • Use data and insights to continually improve campaign performance and client engagement

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing global marketing team
  • Define clear roles, success metrics, and development pathways
  • Establish scalable marketing processes and best practices across M3 MR Group
  • Manage agencies and partners efficiently and commercially

Cross‑Functional & Group Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Client Services, Product, and Finance
  • Align with broader M3 Group branding and governance where required, while ensuring clarity and consistency across M3 MR Group operating brands and propositions
  • Represent Marketing in executive, leadership, and board‑level discussions

Preferred:

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
