About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President Strategic Clinical Operations to serve as a strategic scientific partner to our product and operational teams developing and delivering , hybrid retrospective/prospective, and observational research programs. This highly strategic role is ideal for an experienced epidemiologist, RWE scientist, or late-phase clinical research expert who combines deep scientific expertise with a passion for generating meaningful evidence that informs clinical practice, regulatory strategy, and commercial decision-making.

Reporting into Clinical Operations, in this role you will collaborate directly with our product and services teams to help them understand the fuller landscape of evidence-generation objectives, develop scientifically robust study designs, and translate complex research needs into technical and operational capabilities that can ultimately be leveraged to tailor solutions . As a trusted SME, you will partner closely with product, clinical operations and cross-functional teams to spearhead and coordinate successful study design solutions and develop roadmaps of new capabilities and features critical to differentiating our business. Your ability to invoke our customer base’s sentiments and build trusted internal, cross-functional relationships while providing strategic scientific guidance will be instrumental in advancing innovative research and driving long-term partnerships, revenue opportunities and improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted scientific advisor in defining novel study-conduct and data-generation delivery paths that leverage Paradigm's AI orchestration layer and eSource capabilities — reimagining how observational, Phase IV, and hybrid retrospective/prospective studies can be designed, sited, and executed.

  • Optimize our teams’ ability to translate research questions into scientifically rigorous and innovative study designs, including protocol development, endpoint selection, patient population strategy, data source recommendations, and evidence-generation methodologies.

  • Build reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and study-design playbooks that demonstrate how AI-orchestrated workflows and eSource data capture can replace or augment traditional data-collection and monitoring models — authored as internal IP and platform capability documentation, not as proposals tied to a specific pursuit or account.

  • Partner with Clinical Informatics and Data Science to pressure-test new delivery models against real study scenarios, identifying where automation, orchestration, and direct eSource capture create scientifically defensible efficiency gain

  • Provide scientific input to capability presentations, and strategic solutioning–inclusive of the application of Paradigm Health’s product suite–to differentiate our organization as a trusted partner in driving evidence outcomes.

  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Clinical Informatics, Data Science, and Product to develop innovative, technology and operational study solutions that meet research objectives, drive efficiency, and ensure successful study execution.

  • Monitor emerging trends in epidemiology, real-world evidence, regulatory guidance, hybrid trial technology, and late-phase clinical research to provide strategic insights that strengthen client partnerships and expand business opportunities.

  • Represent the organization as a scientific thought leader through client presentations, conference participation, and publications.

  • Assist in other strategic projects on an as needed basis

Who You Are
  • Advanced degree (PhD, DrPH, MPH, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Clinical Research, or a related scientific discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience designing and leadingPhase IV, observational, non-interventional,late phase or real-world evidence studies within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or healthcare industry.

  • Deep expertise in epidemiologic methods, study design, real-world data (RWD), and evidence generation, with a strong understanding of regulatory and commercial applications.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing studies that address clinical, regulatory, market access, or commercial evidence needs.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences and build trusted relationships with senior clinical, medical, and non-clinical stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical development lifecycle, post-approval research, and the evolving real-world evidence landscape.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and consultative problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic partnerships.

  • Established credibility within the clinical research, epidemiology, or real-world evidence community through publications, presentations, professional affiliations, or industry leadership is preferred.
