Video Production Specialist (Hybrid) - Olin Business
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pre-production. Collaborate with faculty, instructional designers, graphic designers, and digital publishers to navigate the pre-production process. This includes leading or participating in ideation, storyboarding, scriptwriting and review, video prototyping, and the presentation of creative concepts.
- Post-production. Serve as the lead video producer for solo and small-crew shoots, transitioning into the role of lead editor to manage projects through the full post-production lifecycle. Responsibilities include professional color grading and high-fidelity audio mastering to ensure all content meets strict accessibility standards. The VPS will also collaborate with graphic designers and multimedia developers to integrate visual enhancements into video projects.
- Production. Lead on-location shoots across campus, throughout the St. Louis area, and during occasional travel. This requires a high level of technical adaptability to select optimal shooting sites, manage lighting and backgrounds, and capture high-quality audio in unpredictable environments. Additionally, the VPS is responsible for the logistics of traveling with production gear, ensuring all equipment is properly staged, protected, and maintained in transit.
- Project Management. Manage multiple video projects and competing priorities simultaneously, utilizing project management systems to track tasks and deadlines. Ensure the timely delivery of content to meet student needs and academic schedules. Maintain proactive communication with CDE team and leadership, providing regular project updates and escalating potential concerns or roadblocks as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
