Dura Digital is a global technology services company on a mission to ignite AI-enabled transformation and realize our client’s AI-powered future, empowering them through our global delivery studios and services. We bring together world-class talent across AI, engineering, human-centered design, data, and product delivery to help organizations accelerate innovation and create meaningful business outcomes.

The Visual / UI Designer (Digital Content Production) joins our Human-Centered Design Studio and is embedded with the content and production team of a leading global video game publisher. You will turn franchise key art and brand guidelines into high-impact web, email, and in-game experiences for some of the world’s most-played sports and entertainment titles—working at the speed of live game marketing and delivering work while the client’s North American team is offline.

Role Details

  • Location: Remote, Latin America (Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, or other locations with strong UK time-zone overlap).
  • Schedule: Early-start working hours with substantial overlap with the UK business day, plus partial overlap with Eastern and Pacific time.
  • Engagement: Embedded, full-time engagement of 6 to 9 months, with potential to extend.
  • Openings: 2 to 3 designers, hired at two levels: Visual Designer (production and execution) and Senior Visual Designer (concept development through execution).

Key Responsibilities

Visual Design & Production

  • Translate franchise key art, layouts, and brand guidelines into engaging web hero assets, including assets with motion that make pages more immersive as users scroll.
  • Adapt creative across owned channels—email, in-game placements, and web—so the player journey feels cohesive from discovery to landing page.
  • Select in-game characters, environments, and moments that make compelling hero banners and storytelling modules.
  • Produce high volumes of polished, on-brand assets on tight timelines, maintaining quality as priorities shift.

Design Systems & UI

  • Work within and contribute to the client’s Figma design system, extending components and templates while staying true to each franchise’s brand.
  • Apply strong UI fundamentals—typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and accessibility (WCAG)—to every asset.
  • Partner with UX designers to ensure visual work is usable and consistent across channels and devices.
  • Keep all web assets organized, documented, and stored in Figma so the team can find and reuse them.

Concept Development (Senior level)

  • Lead creative concepts from brief to final execution for campaigns, launches, and live-service moments.
  • Present concepts and rationale to creative directors and marketing stakeholders, and iterate quickly on feedback.
  • Elevate brand guidelines into fresh, engaging digital executions rather than simply reproducing them.

Collaboration & Ways of Working

  • Work as an embedded member of the client team, building direct relationships with game studio creative directors and marketing leads in the UK, Canada, and Europe.
  • Collaborate closely with the project coordinator to receive clear briefs, track assets, and hand off work for review.
  • Hand off completed work at the end of your day so it is ready for the North American team at the start of theirs.
  • Use AI tools, including Claude, to speed up exploration, versioning, and production where appropriate.
  • Ensure your work reflects Dura Digital’s values: curious, vocal, trusted, creative, available, respectful.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in visual, UI, or digital design (5+ years for the Senior level), ideally in gaming, entertainment, sports, or consumer brands.
  • A portfolio showing high-visual digital work: web heroes, landing pages, email, banners, or in-product placements.
  • Advanced Figma skills, including working within and contributing to design systems.
  • Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills, especially Photoshop; After Effects or motion design experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of usability and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with, or genuine interest in using, AI tools such as Claude in creative workflows.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and same-week turnarounds.
  • Advanced written and spoken English (C1 or higher); comfortable presenting work to senior stakeholders.
  • Passion for video games is a strong plus.

Why join Dura Digital

  • Work on globally recognized game franchises and see your work in front of millions of players.
  • Be embedded in a world-class creative team while being supported by Dura Digital’s Human-Centered Design Studio.
  • Be part of a remote-first, collaborative international culture across Canada, the United States, and Latin America.
  • Grow your craft in design systems, motion, and AI-enabled creative production.
  • Competitive compensation, supportive leadership, and significant opportunity for impact and career growth.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
