OVERVIEW
As SharkNinja accelerates toward its next phase of growth, we are hiring a VP, Global Commercial Planning to lead our global commercial planning rhythm - ensuring the Sales Forecast is delivered with clarity, accountability, and precision. This role is a mission-critical leadership position within the Planning function, responsible for connecting global teams and functions through seamless cadence, rigorous preparation, and purposeful alignment.
This individual will own and lead the full planning calendar, ensuring that every stage of the process - from pre-readiness to consensus - drives meaningful outcomes. The VP, Integrated Business Planning will ensure forums are intentional, cross-functional, and drive action across our dynamic consumer product portfolio. This leader will set a high bar for orchestration, bringing bold thinking and operational rigor to help SharkNinja move faster, smarter, and more collaboratively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own SharkNinja's global commercial planning rhythm, designing and driving the full planning calendar to set the pace, expectations, and operating cadence across Consensus and Pressure Test Review forums.
  • Lead true cross-functional alignment, not just participation-bringing Sales, Finance, SS&A, and Operations together around a unified forecast story, shared priorities, and coordinated action.
  • Ensure end-to-end forecast readiness, delivering submissions that are complete, vetted, and truly decision-ready before entering any forum-raising the bar on what "prepared" means.
  • Drive sales forecast ownership and accountability, coaching Sales leaders to fully own their number and narrative with strong reason-to-believe support, meaningful variance explanations, and insights that drive confident decision-making.
  • Elevate the quality and impact of planning forums feeling ownership in the forecast delivery, not just running agendas, but intentionally structuring discussions to drive decisions, prioritization, and forward momentum.
  • Ensure flawless execution after every forum, personally owning action tracking, follow-through, and feedback loops that strengthen performance and promote continuous learning.
  • Solve issues-not just escalate them-removing barriers, closing gaps, and holding teams accountable to drive timely resolution and business impact.
  • Enable fast, informed decisions through insight, synthesizing cross-functional inputs into a clear storyline that guides scenario choices, identifies opportunities, and supports rapid course correction.
  • Deliver robust Planning Hypotheses (PHs) that help FP&A bridge Sales Forecasts to Financial Forecasts, ensuring alignment between narrative and numbers across the business.
  • Lead with urgency, boldness, and a bias for action, continuously challenging and evolving the planning system to unlock higher performance and meet the needs of a faster, more demanding business future.
  • Drive for efficiency and impact through innovation in Planning - Bring innovation to revolutionize the way in which the business plans the business understanding different maturities of each market.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 15+ years in Company Planning or Integrated Business Planning, with deep experience in forecast orchestration across functions and regions.
  • Proven ability to design, lead, and optimize planning cadences that align sales, finance, and operations.
  • Strong facilitation, influence, and storytelling skills; able to translate complexity into clear decision points and actions.
  • Track record of improving forecast confidence, accuracy, and accountability at scale.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth CPG or consumer goods environment is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making informed decisions quickly, and enabling others to do the same.
  • Highly collaborative and action-biased - thrives on "ping-pong communication" and cross-functional problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree is a plus.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
