Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company reinventing data security, empowering businesses to realize the full potential of their data. As the leading data security platform purpose-built for the cloud era, Cyera’s mission is to reinvent how businesses secure data, enable agile collaboration, and boldly pursue new business opportunities. Trusted by security teams at leading global businesses, our team is proving that data security is the next big thing in cyber. Backed by the world’s leading investors and working with a large and growing list of Fortune 1000 companies, we are looking for world-class talent to join us as we usher in the new era of data security.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re hiring a Vice President of Product Marketing to lead all of product marketing and competitive intelligence at Cyera — the platform story, the three portfolios, launches, campaigns, field enablement, and the analyst narrative. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will be the most senior product marketing voice in the company and a core member of the marketing leadership team.

This is not a messaging-and-datasheets role. We’re looking for a business leader who happens to be a world-class product marketer: someone who partners with Product and GTM on revenue goals, treats the roadmap as raw material for market-moving launches, and holds the bar for how Cyera shows up everywhere a buyer, analyst, or seller encounters us. You’ll inherit a strong product marketing and competitive intelligence team and be expected to grow it — in capability and in ambition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Platform and portfolio narrative. Define how the Cyera AI Trust platform and the Data Security, Agent Security, and Identity Security portfolios fit together into one coherent, differentiated story. Build the messaging architecture — platform to portfolio to product to use case — and keep it anchored in buyer pain and customer proof. Shape the category language the market adopts, not just our own.
  • Launches that move markets. Translate the product roadmap into a tiered launch engine: compelling launch narratives, coordinated moments, and the integrated campaigns that follow. Partner with Demand Generation, Brand, and Comms so every major launch earns attention and generates pipeline, not just press.
  • Field and partner enablement. Arm sellers, SEs, and partners to win: first-call narratives, demo storylines, competitive positioning, objection handling, and certification. Success is measured in the field — sellers who can tell the platform story without coaching, and win rates that show it.
  • Analyst relations. Co-own analyst strategy and execution with our AR leader. Be a credible technical voice in briefings and inquiries with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and emerging voices, and drive the positioning that moves us up in the evaluations that matter and shapes how the category itself gets defined.
  • Business partnership with Product and GTM. Sit at the table with Product and Sales leadership on revenue goals, pricing and packaging, market entry, and portfolio strategy. Bring win/loss insight, competitive intelligence, and market signal into the roadmap — and carry roadmap conviction back out to the market.
  • Team leadership. Lead, coach, and grow the existing product marketing team across the three portfolios. Operate as a player-coach: model the craft, develop senior PMMs into independent owners of their areas, and build the bench for the next stage of scale.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days, you’ve gone deep on the platform and all three portfolios, built trusted partnerships with Product, Sales, and AR leadership, assessed the team, and delivered your point of view on the platform narrative and the launch calendar for the year ahead.

By the end of year one, the AI Trust platform story is thriving in the market, our flagship campaigns and we are winning hearts and minds across various audiences including analysts. Major launches land as market moments with measurable pipeline. The field tells our story without coaching. We’ve moved up in at least one major analyst evaluation. And the product marketing team is stronger, more senior, and more independent than the one you inherited.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise B2B software, with a track record of leading product marketing at scale — multiple products, multiple audiences, high-growth environments.
  • 10+ years of cybersecurity leadership experience. You know the buyers, the ecosystem, the analysts, and the competitive chessboard — and you’re already credible in the room with CXO and security architects.
  • Technical strength. You can go deep on how the products actually work — data security, AI and agent security, identity — hold your own with Product and Engineering, and translate architecture into advantage.
  • Exceptional storytelling. You craft narratives that make complex technology feel inevitable, and you’re a hands-on writer and editor — you can produce the narrative yourself when needed, not just direct others to.
  • A business leader’s mindset. You think in pipeline, win rates, and ARR — not deliverables — and you’ve co-owned revenue outcomes with product and GTM leadership before.
  • A launch track record. You’ve repeatedly turned roadmaps into launches and campaigns that moved the market and the number — and you can show the receipts.
  • Enablement chops. You’ve built enablement programs that measurably changed how a field organization sells.
  • Analyst relations experience, with examples of moving the needle on Magic Quadrants, Waves, MarketScapes, or category definition.
  • Exceptional people leadership. You’ve hired, coached, and scaled senior product marketing teams, and a reputation that draws great people to want to join you.
  • Operating principles that match ours —push boundaries, own and act, elevate together — and a leadership style that matches ours: model, coach, care.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
