VP Sales - NAM Regional Lead, SME Channel Distribution

As Vice President of SME Channel Distribution, you will lead growth across our distribution strategy. This role goes beyond execution, you will help reshape how we engage customers and partners while shaping the future of our SME alternative distribution channels in North America. This is a player-coach role, leading a team of quota-carrying sales representatives and actively supporting all aspects of the business to achieve targets.
Key Responsibilities• Refine and lead the strategy for Channel Distribution North America ensuring it supports broader business goals and drives sustainable growth.• Partner closely with cross-functional regional teams to turn strategy into action and deliver results.• Identify, engage, and build relationships with decision-makers at new partners and customers across target segments• Drive team accountability across the full sales lifecycle-from lead qualification through contract negotiation and deal closure• Represent Mastercard at industry events and conferences to strengthen brand visibility and position the company as a thought leader in Channel distribution for the SME segment• Maintain and monitor relevant team performance against targets, using data and insights to refine strategies and optimize results. Driving 100% CRM adoption through this information capture• Accountable for presentation of progress reporting for regional and global stakeholders• Lead and develop a team of specialist sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and driving market expansion in alignment with our over-arching strategy• Collaborate with senior leaders to align priorities, influence strategy, and advance initiatives that support company-wide objectives.• Apply strong sales leadership and management practices to build effective sales strategies and ensure consistent achievement of targets.
All About you & Qualifications
Required:• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.• Proven experience executing strategy and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.• Strategic thinker with a track record of leading complex initiatives from concept through execution.• Deep understanding of channel ecosystems, including partner agreements, onboarding, and ongoing partner management.• Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.• Experience selling or supporting financial products designed for small and medium-sized businesses.• Background in sales, business development, or account management within financial services, fintech, or payments.• Bachelor's degree required.• Fluency in English required.
Preferred:• Experience building or scaling digital or alternative distribution channels, particularly for SME-focused solutions.• Strong payments expertise, including acquiring, issuing, acceptance, or embedded finance models.• Executive presence with the ability to represent the company externally with senior partners and at industry events.• Proven ability to influence product or solution direction using market, partner, and customer insights.• MBA or advanced degree, or equivalent executive-level experience.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Purchase, New York: $235,000 - $375,000 USD
Atlanta, Georgia: $204,000 - $326,000 USD
Boston, Massachusetts: $235,000 - $375,000 USD
Chicago, Illinois: $204,000 - $326,000 USD
Miami, Florida: $204,000 - $326,000 USD
New York City, New York: $245,000 - $391,000 USD
