Lead Blockworks’ sales organization and own revenue performance across sellers, BDRs, and customer success. The VP will manage forecasting, pipeline reviews, sales strategy, compensation plans, customer and deal engagement, enterprise procurement processes, seller coaching, and hiring. The role focuses on selling data, monitoring, and issuer products to exchanges, banks, brokerages, asset managers, and asset issuers, with responsibility for scaling ARR and building the next wave of the sales team.

About Us:

Blockworks is an information platform that sits at the center of the crypto industry. We transform raw, complex data and facts into actionable research, trusted alpha-driven insights, and world-class events. The result is transparency and confidence. Blockworks connects investors and businesses in onchain capital markets. We give businesses a platform to earn trust and provide investors with the information they need to underwrite the asset class.

Blockworks builds trust in onchain markets. Companies that issue an asset onchain tell us what it is and who is behind it. We verify it, and exchanges, brokerages, banks, and fintechs (and increasingly their AI agents) look it up before they list it or let a customer buy it.

We’re entering our biggest growth phase ever and are hiring a sales leader to help us drastically scale ARR.

You'll be a good fit if you:

  • Led a crypto sales team for 2+ years.

  • Managed 10+ sellers.

  • Spent time on CT and care where this industry goes.

  • Built an enterprise sales team that sells to exchanges, fintechs, brokerages, or banks, and knows those buyers firsthand.

  • Know what it takes to get a deal through a bank's security review and procurement.

  • Know how to forecast and create comp plans to incentivize the forecast.

  • Know how to run effective pipeline reviews, team calls, and trainings.

  • Can operate at multiple flight levels, and are just as motivated to give a seller feedback on their latest call as you are to scale the revenue strategy.

  • Have stayed at one company long enough to see your strategy and decisions through.

We’re looking for someone who has already built the team we're about to build.

The role: You will report directly to Jason Yanowitz, Blockworks' Co-Founder, and sit on the leadership team. You own the revenue number along with the sellers, the BDRs and customer success. You'll start from the 2027 sales plan and pricing we've built. Your job is to hit the number and tell me where the plan is wrong.

We sell to exchanges, banks, brokerages, and asset managers for data and monitoring, and to asset issuers for the Issuer Console. Most deals land between $50-500k/year.

Your first six months are in the deals. You’ll run the weekly pipeline review, own the forecast, meet with our customers, and join calls with our sellers to help close deals. You’ll also help hire our next wave of AEs as we expect to add double digit sellers in 2027.

Base $180,000 to $200,000. OTE $350,000 to $400,000, with generous equity. New York preferred but not required.

Benefits:

Remote-First:

We're a remote-first organization with an office in NYC for you to utilize as you please.

100% Medical Coverage for You:

Close to fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you, and a significant portion covered for your dependents.

We have a flexible paid time off policy that doesn't limit the number of vacation days you can take.

At Blockworks, all team members are eligible for 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
