Job Summary
We are seeking a Workplace Technology Engineer. This role combines technical support to a large team, leading and/or contributing to projects, and optimizing the platforms that power how our teams collaborate, communicate, and get work done. You will be a strategic thinker who enjoys building things from the ground up and collaborating with the team to deploy best practices in order to create and maintain professional standards that have the potential to improve the lives of our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Modern Workplace Services
Respond to and resolve support requests through our ticketing system for a remote-first environment
Troubleshoot complex issues across macOS, Windows, and escalate infrastructure-level issues as appropriate
Analyze recurring ticket trends and implement automation or systemic fixes to reduce support volume
Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions, documentation, and training materials
Champion the end-user experience by proactively identifying friction points in tooling and driving improvements
Identity, Access & Security
Administer Okta (or equivalent IdP) for SSO, MFA, lifecycle management (provisioning/deprovisioning), and application integrations using SAML and SCIM
Manage user accounts, groups, and access policies in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and/or on-premises Active Directory
Endpoint Management & Device Security
Administer endpoint management for Windows, MacOS, and Linux (e.g. Intune, Kandji, Jamf, or Workspace One)
Standardize, develop provisioning, patching, and decommissioning using automation and MDM.
Oversee endpoint protection, encryption, and posture enforcement integrated with corporate IAM.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in IT, workplace technology, IAM, or systems administration roles
Demonstrated experience with administering Microsoft 365 (Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) or Google Workspace
Experience with managing licenses and administering collaboration tools (ex. Slack, Zoom, Atlassian Jira and Confluence)
Working knowledge of Okta or a comparable IdP for SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management (SAML, SCIM)
Understanding of Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user/group management and GPO concepts
Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows endpoints; Windows Server experience a plus
Excellent communication and verbal skills — able to interface comfortably with both technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders
Strong documentation skills for policies, runbooks, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with MDM/endpoint management solutions (Intune/Autopilot, Jamf, Workspace One, or similar)
Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management
Exposure to SaaS integration/iPaaS tools (Workato, Zapier, Make, or native APIs)
Understanding of Zero Trust concepts and modern identity frameworks
Experience with SaaS Management
Experience in M&A activities including user onboarding, system consolidation, and access alignment
Nice to Haves
Microsoft 365 Certified (MS-900, MS-102, or MD-102) or Google Workspace Administrator certification
Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) designation
Okta Certified Administrator
Project management experience or certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent practical experience)

High-Speed Internet - A stable broadband or fiber connection (satellite is highly discouraged) with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in a dedicated workspace that has a reliable Wi-Fi signal.
Device for Multifactor Authentication (MFA/2FA) - smartphone, tablet, etc.
When it matters (usually no more than a few times a year) we take the time to gather for in-person events.
