You will be a strategic thinker who enjoys building things from the ground up and collaborating with the team to deploy best practices in order to create and maintain professional standards that have the potential to improve the lives of our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Modern Workplace Services

  • Respond to and resolve support requests through our ticketing system for a remote-first environment

  • Troubleshoot complex issues across macOS, Windows, and escalate infrastructure-level issues as appropriate

  • Analyze recurring ticket trends and implement automation or systemic fixes to reduce support volume

  • Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions, documentation, and training materials

  • Champion the end-user experience by proactively identifying friction points in tooling and driving improvements

Identity, Access & Security

  • Administer Okta (or equivalent IdP) for SSO, MFA, lifecycle management (provisioning/deprovisioning), and application integrations using SAML and SCIM

  • Manage user accounts, groups, and access policies in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and/or on-premises Active Directory

Endpoint Management & Device Security

  • Administer endpoint management for Windows, MacOS, and Linux (e.g. Intune, Kandji, Jamf, or Workspace One)

  • Standardize, develop provisioning, patching, and decommissioning using automation and MDM.

  • Oversee endpoint protection, encryption, and posture enforcement integrated with corporate IAM.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in IT, workplace technology, IAM, or systems administration roles

  • Demonstrated experience with administering Microsoft 365 (Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) or Google Workspace

  • Experience with managing licenses and administering collaboration tools (ex. Slack, Zoom, Atlassian Jira and Confluence)

  • Working knowledge of Okta or a comparable IdP for SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management (SAML, SCIM)

  • Understanding of Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user/group management and GPO concepts

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows endpoints; Windows Server experience a plus

  • Excellent communication and verbal skills — able to interface comfortably with both technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders

  • Strong documentation skills for policies, runbooks, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MDM/endpoint management solutions (Intune/Autopilot, Jamf, Workspace One, or similar)

  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management

  • Exposure to SaaS integration/iPaaS tools (Workato, Zapier, Make, or native APIs)

  • Understanding of Zero Trust concepts and modern identity frameworks

  • Experience with SaaS Management

  • Experience in M&A activities including user onboarding, system consolidation, and access alignment

Nice to Haves

  • Microsoft 365 Certified (MS-900, MS-102, or MD-102) or Google Workspace Administrator certification

  • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) designation

  • Okta Certified Administrator

  • Project management experience or certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent practical experience)

What Success Looks Like

  • Platforms are reliable, well-governed, and actively improving end-user productivity

  • Recurring support issues are systematically eliminated through automation and process improvement

  • SSO and identity lifecycle management runs smoothly — users have the right access at the right time

  • Deliver a frictionless remote employee experience with high reliability and performance.

  • Projects are delivered on time with clear communication to stakeholders

  • Teams feel supported, equipped, and empowered by the tools they use every day

Location

In our remote-first model, employees can work from the location that works best for them. We do not have centralized corporate offices. Employees can choose to work from home, in company-paid co-working spaces, or any combination of the two that best suits their unique needs.

When it matters (usually no more than a few times a year) we take the time to gather for in-person events.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
