This position is located at Arbor Heights Community Church in Seattle, WA

The Worship Pastor wakes us up to the beauty and holiness of God through the crafting and curation of our church gatherings. Their responsible for leading, planning and facilitating the churches Sunday gathering, blending pastoral care with musical direction. This role provides leadership for worship, creative arts and church communications, helping people encounter Jesus and engage the mission of AHCC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

WORSHIP MINISTRY

  • Disciple the church towards Jesus through music, leadership and worship
  • Design and execute Jesus-centered gatherings overseeing all worship and production elements
  • Recruit, develop and train teams to run a healthy, consistent worship ministry
  • Provide care and support for worship team members both musically and spiritually
  • Oversee storytelling at Sunday gatherings
  • Plan, organize and coordinate special seasonal events (i.e. Christmas Eve, Worship Nights, All Ages Services, etc.)
  • Oversee churches visual arts, décor and design

STAFF COLLABORATION

  • Ensure ministry alignment with the mission, vision and values of AHCC
  • Work in concert with the gifts and talents of other staff members and maintain a strong teamwork mentality
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings
  • Participate in continuing education events and training opportunities
  • Active participation in the community life of AHCC

COMMUNICATIONS & CREATIVE MINISTRY

  • Champion a clear and compelling communication strategy that advances the mission, vision and values of AHCC
  • Oversee the planning and execution of church-wide communications, including announcements, promotions and special initiatives
  • Provide creative direction for church branding, graphics, messaging and digital communications
  • Partner with ministry leaders to communicate events, stories and opportunities for engagement effectively
  • Ensure excellence and consistency in the visual presentation and communication experience of the Sunday gathering and church-wide ministries

  • Driven by vision and passionate about achieving exceptional results
  • Vocal and instrumental experience in a worship team with musical proficiency
  • Ability to recruit, equip and mobilize volunteer teams effectively
  • High emotional intelligence, organizational skill and adaptability
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in common computer programs (email, production software, MS, etc.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000
