As the Wound Care Nurse is responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive wound care program for adults and geriatrics. The Wound Care Nurse will evaluate all appropriate patients upon admission and devise an individualized plan of care that will be monitored during the hospitalization. The plan of care will be revised and updated according to the patient's needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assess, monitor, and manage patients with wounds and ostomies, including pressure ulcers, vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, burns, and related conditions
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized wound care plans based on patient needs, treatment response, and current clinical standards
  • Provide direct wound and ostomy care, including advanced treatments such as pulse lavage, vacuum-assisted closure, and debridement as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to support high-quality, cost-effective care
  • Educate nursing staff, patients, families, and other clinical team members on wound and ostomy care practices, documentation expectations, and related clinical procedures
  • Support accurate and complete clinical documentation through record review, provider queries, coding collaboration, and monitoring of documentation trends
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, data analysis, policy and procedure updates, reporting, appeals support, and productivity expectations related to wound care and documentation review

Required Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice
  • 2+ years clinical experience in wound care
  • Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Practice nurse degree
  • Wound Care certification
  • Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,640 to $107,460 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
