Role Description
Working to assist OMG providers in providing health care. The Administrative Medical Assistant serves the patient and the provider by gathering and maintaining the necessary medical information in a cheerful, friendly, personable manner; providing quality patient care and helping to establish rapport between the provider and the patient.
Role is fully onsite in Eugene, OR for the 3-6 months before transitioning to fully remote work location.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responds to incoming phone calls and desktop items and refers if necessary Calls patients as directed by the provider and/or as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments
  • Obtains patient histories, medications, immunizations and other data in the Electronic Medical Record
  • Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per provider's instructions
  • Understands and follows the approved prescription refill workflow and documentation requirements Communicates directly with provider for any refills that need provider input, or that do not meet the workflow requirements
  • Understands and interprets current immunization schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT required, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Lives within a commutable distance of Eugene, OR for 3-6 months of onsite training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems
  • Call center experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology used to administer patient care required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $19.00 - $25.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
